| Hey ladies Please help! I need to buy my invitations for dirt cheap as I have gone over my budget already with the reception, limo and photographer. Where can I get them fairly cheap. I saw them at staples where I would print them $50 for 50 so $1 a piece, its that a good price???

| Hi, yes I think you're right, printing invites on diy card kits is probably the cheapest way to go, and they can look fabulous. I bought the most basic invite from a card shop and it cost us $400 for 125 with response cards. Some places to buy the cards to print on include Michaels, Staples, Zellers You can also spruce up an invite with ribbon, crystals or anything really. I bought some swarovski crystals off e-bay and glued them on my invites. They come in all different colours and they sparkle like crazy. I love them. They were only $10 for 144 peices.

| Check out Michaels or even Zellers for the DIY kits.. I bought the gems from the dollar store and glued them in the hearts.. We had tons of compliments on our invites.. I've been married twice.. first time I ordered invites from Hallmark, which my mother did the the calligraphy on, second time I printed them.. Way cheaper to do it yourself.. Photobucket makes the pictures fuzzy ...

What a beautiful poetic piece you included on your invitation! Where did you get it from (the poem) and how did you decide on it? I love it!

| Michaels has a pretty decent selection of DIY invites (and favours too, by the way). I found their prices to be pretty reasonable. A ot of the kits come with the reply cards and I think some of them come with thank you notes too. They give you instructions on how to do them at home on your computer. If you don't mind spending the extra time putting them together, I think it would be worth it to look into doing them that way. I think it would save you quite a bit of money. $1 per invitation also does seem quite reasonable as well. I would check that out for sure, see what your options are

I bought my DIY invites on ebay. They are wilton invitations and I paid $14.99 for 50. I purchased 150 and it cost me only $45.00 plus shipping and handling it was $70.00 (because of the weight). I love them. There are quite a few to choose from on ebay. Good luck!

I used these invites as well. Got them at Michaels and used the 40% coupon. Or if you can take a trip to the states its even cheaper. They look great and I've got tons of compliments on them.
