So I never leave my ring laying anywhere but in my jewelry box at night, but a couple Sundays ago I left it in the kitchen, since I was being lazy.

I woke up in the morning and went to put the ring on and it was missing...to back track I sleep walk and I have moved it in the night. I have no clue where I have moved it to, but it is now gone.  I have searched high and low for the sucker and I can't find it.  I don't know whether or not to go through home insurance or bit the bullet and pay more money for an identical ring...what do you all think?

Oh my goodness, I can completely sympathise with your situation - I lost my ring on Monday (but luckily it's been found as per my thread also in this same forum yesterday).

How long has your ring been missing? If it's only been a day or so, I'd wait to see if it turns up before making any sudden moves. It may turn up right under your nose. Check under furniture, behind things, maybe even move your fridge and stove to see if it may have gotten back there somehow. You're sure it's in the house?

I wish you lots of luck in finding it. Who knows... maybe it will show up before you know it. *sending good luck vibes your way*

i lost mine a while back for a full week.... didn't say a word to anyone about it.  turns out i left it next to the computer when i could have sworn that i had left it by the kitchen window sill.  I just happened to notice it out of the corner of my eye one day... it had fall down on./ into my cds...

i would hold off a little longer.  in the mean time did you check the tap in the pipes to see if it got caught there.  lolol... i have lost a few things down there...lolol

FH has done the same thing. I got him a ring after we got engaged. he never wears any jewellery and so i got him a ring to wear to get used to wearing something. its all gold only $225, he was doing a lot of painting, took it off, put it on my night stand and we have not seen it in 4 months. I have cats, and if it hit the floor they would chase it around until they got tired of it, or it went someplace they could not get to.

im pretty upset about it, more upsetting though is the fact that he has not bothered to really look for it. keeps saying he will but hasn't.

After sooo many months I found my ring.  It was in the basement in the Christmas Ornaments rubbermaid container...I slept walked and put it there. Too strange.

I'm so glad that you found it!!
Did you ever go through any of the motions of replacing it or did you decide to wait it out for a bit longer?

Wow..that is crazy! Have you stopped looking for it after a couple weeks or so, or were you still searching for it this whole time? What other things have you done while sleep walking! haha

Anyways, glad you found your ring!
