Dont be, I pissed away my first 2 months BD'ing too late cause I didnt realize.

When you are on a time restraint that is REALLY frustrating!

Well my temp went up today. I'm kind of suprised by that and don't really trust it. I am spotting again today and it feels very much like AF. I suspect by Saturday she will be here in full swing and I anticipate my temp is going to be down again tomorrow morning.

My chart:

If AF hasn't arrived my Saturday I will think about testing on Sunday whihc would be 15DPO.

Your chart looks great!

Quick response for the posts above then I'll do another with my update from the Naturopath.

First, Tabitha, sorry I missed your post originally. But... I don't like your temp drop. When do you expect your cycle to end? I hope af stays away from you, but with a temp drop like that, I'm not sure. Good luck!!

I have to be like the 5th or 18th person to say the PVR is a wonderful thing. Candace, PVR is 'personal video recorder' and yes it is a way to record TV, but even if you're not recording something they always keep whatever you're watching (if you don't change the channel) in a buffer, so if you have to go to the bathroom, you can pause or if you missed something because you coughed, you can rewind a few seconds and catch it. We only have a single-tuner PVR (DH bought it when PVRs first came out) so we can't watch something else while a different channel records, but we do our best to make sure we have something on there to watch so that we can watch a recorded show while a new one is recording. If that doesn't work out, we also have a non-PVR digital box on a different TV so we can just watch the 2nd show there. What's my favorite part about the PVR? DH programmed the remote (he's a computer geek) so that one of the buttons is a 30 second skip, so we almost never watch commercials. As PVRs in general become more popular, advertisers are going to have to find other ways to advertise because more and more people will be skipping or fast-forwarding them.

Nicole - Good luck!! Thanks for updating me on what point you're at so I know when to start harassing you about testing or how you're feeling, or both. It seems I don't need to do much harassing, though as you've already said you'll POAS the next day.

Shawna - Yes, you're right, we've only been TTC for a few months, and it's not that I expected to get lucky on the first shot, but I just hoped that because I've been through so much crap and hard times in the past few years that maybe Nature/Karma (whatever you believe in) would actually allow me to just get ONE thing easily. Instead I got handed two more massive blows and my mental state is not good to start with, so it just hurt that much more. But I do appreciate the support - I know I'd be a much bigger wreck without all of you here keeping my hope alive, boosting my spirits, sending my luck & baby dust and just listening to me vent. So thanks.

Sherri - Not much else to say besides thanks. If only I actually had people to invite to the pity-Melissa party. It really sucks when you have to do it all yourself. Oh well, I think I got through the worst of it. Not much other choice but to go up from here.

Mrs P - I'm going to say what I know you're going to be feeling is a complete impossibility, but you need to do everything in your power NOT to look at this month as your "last chance". Looking at it that way will put too much stress on you, mentally and physically. Stress is bad (trust me, I'm dealing with the fall out from it!) and it will only reduce your chances. Instead, try to think of this cycle as an opportunity to enjoy & appreciate your husband's support for you and for everything you're going through. Keep in mind that everything happens for a reason, and when the time is right. If you don't get a bfp this month, there's a reason for it - maybe your condition is worse than the doctors thought but your surgery will fix you right up and you'll be better than you expected. Maybe you're destined to have twins or triplets but you can't do it if you don't get fixed first. Whatever is going to happen, just try to remember that you can't force things to happen on your schedule, and don't build yourself up to believing that if it doesn't happen this month, it will never happen, because you will be emotionally devastated if you don't get a bfp. Honestly, I'm telling you this from the heart - I know that I'm suggesting the impossible, because I am dealing with the exact same thoughts. It is really really hard to accept that you can't control this and that you can't bend nature to your will. But what is keeping me going (what I let go of yesterday for a little while), is knowing that when the time is right, I will get a healthy, happy baby. And for both of us - probably for many of us here - the right time will be when our bodies are healthy and our minds are truly ready. Unfortunately, that seems to mean that many of us have a lot of work to do to get our bodies and minds into better condition. I do truly wish you all the best this month - you can have all my baby dust because I don't think it's going to do me any good this month - and I really want to see a bfp from you in about 3 weeks. So good luck, but try to remember to give your body some benefit - it will do what it needs to do, when it's ready. *hugs*

Ha, so much for the 'quick reply'. My next post will be all about my doctor's visit.

Lizzie - I think it's really nice that your boss had to open a bottle of wine to "test it". I waited until around 5:00 to go get a drink, but then I sipped it anyhow, so I didn't feel anything. I really wanted to get loaded, but I was too miserable to bother. Hope you enjoyed your party!!
When do you think you'll be O'ing?

Sorry to see you so bummed out....but cry, scream, yell, kick stuff....do whatever you need to do, but don't leave us!!  We'll miss you!

I'll be O'ing around December 16th ish...so still awhile to go!

Hi to everyone else.....sorry that everyone seems to be a bit down.  Hopefully we'll have some great news around here to head into the new year with!

Ok... all about my visit to the naturopath.

So the bad news is that she confirmed the adrenal fatigue diagnosis. One of the best ways to confirm it is by checking the blood pressure - when you're laying down and then immediately upon standing. In a 'normal' person, standing causes the blood pressure to rise slightly (it's the body's natural response to prevent blood from rapidly flowing out of the brain due to gravity). In a person with adrenal fatigue, the blood pressure stays the same or drops - a drop in blood pressure upon standing usually causes dizziness or light-headedness, and though these can happen occasionally to even normal people it's usually more related to blood sugar levels than adrenal function. My blood pressure was 120/70 laying down (which she said is GREAT), but dropped to 100/50 when I stood up. Fun fun (not).

We talked about my lab results and she said that it was unusual for patients to come in with all the lab tests already done, but it's a good thing because it means I skip all the 'preliminary' diagnosis stuff and get right to the "how to get better" phase of things. We talked about my history and my life and how all of this might have come about and what my ultimate goal was (which contrary to what I was thinking yesterday is not just to get pregnant, but to actually be HEALTHY).

She looked at my charts and then she TOTALLY confused me: she said that women don't O the day before the temp spikes, but it's 3 or 4 days before. I questioned her on that and she didn't really have a good answer, just questioned where FF got it's information - and I even mentioned iVillage which is based on tcoyf and she didn't really have a good response. I'm pretty hesitant to believe her on this one, because I've seen bazillions of charts where the only time the person has sex is the day before or day of temp spike....and correct me if I'm wrong, but if you look at IUI charts, the insemination day is always the day before the spike?? So I'm not sure about where she is getting her info on that one, but whatever.

So my plan of action:
- exercise everyday (5-6 days a week) for 20-30 minutes, first thing in the morning.
- eat supper no later than 7pm
- find an avenue for stress release (she suggested I get back into playing the flute, which I will seriously consider, and also that I get a massage at least once a month)
- for now she is not changing my supplements - she did say that I should 'finish off' one of them (ginseng) because she doesn't like to have people on it long-term, but when I go back she will look at combining some of them into adrenal-specific complexes so that I'm basically taking the same stuff but with *less* pills (too bad Sherri ). The good part about this is that she didn't say there's anything I'm taking which I shouldn't be or that I'm taking too much of anything. I know she's guiding me down a path where I get all my supplements from her, so I am going to be cautious of that because even if getting them from her takes me down to half the number of pills I'm not going to do it if it's twice the price! I'm not made out of money!
- I am 100% to get off of
