Hello Ladies,
I'm about 1 click away from buying stuff I would need to make my own invitations but I felt I should come on here first to get some feedback. I'm looking at buying 5.5" purple flat cards for the invites, 4bar purple cards for the rsvp plus eco-white envelopes in both sizes. I also want to buy some green ribbon (but I don't know what for yet).
Looking at these I'm just not sure how I would come up with a nice looking invitation! The wedding colours are rich purple, deep green and silver. I want to make them myself as I'm having a medieval themed wedding and I just don't see anything out there that I like, pre-made or in a kit.
Any inspiration, suggestions

Here's a look at our wedding invitations...our colours are Green and Purple and we are having a summer solstice / Celtic wedding. We did manage these with a pre-made kit and a bit of extra fun!

I like your hand-made paper invites, they have an elegant look to them. The stuff I was looking at buying was simply plain purple cards and wondered how to make them nice...but maybe if I started with something a little nicer to begin with they would look prettier in the end!
I thought about scrolls but I'm afraid they would cost a lot of money to mail out and to make. The purple ones in that picture are gorgeous but we are on a bit of a budget, and they look pricey!

| I bet you could make a scroll (with light weight) using mulberry paper and a plastic (scroll stick)...classy eh? The writing could be on velum, fixed by glue dots or adhesive spray. These pochette styles invites are also very cute, don't know if you like the style, but it's something different!
you could do them in your own colours very easily! http://www.paperdirect.com/Pochette/id=93/shop.axd/Content I don't know if these are cheesy or not:
these would be pretty in your colours too:
