| Ok, well if anyone remembers quite a while a go, I had a post about my cousin the hairdresser who booked my wedding along with her other cousin's wedding party to both get our hair done the same time. There is 7 people getting their hair done in my wedding party, and there is 7 people getting their hair done in the other wedding party. My cousin expected to get both parties done and out of the salon by 11 or so. So, I do not feel comfortable with this. I just called her to tell her that I thought it would be best if I went elsewhere to get my hair done. Right away she says "you are so anal about your hair!" first off, what does that have to do with this situation? So, she seemed mad, but I was not going to feel stressed, and rushed just so she could get to the other party. I feel good that I was finally able to tell her, but I feel horrible that she is mad at me. I have learned a valuable lesson here, never hire family to do things like ths for you. Leave it to outside people.

| Of all the days your would have a right to be particular about your hair, your WEDDING day is defiately that day! If she hassles you further, tell her to take a flying leap off a rolling boulder (new fave expression) and book your hair where/when you want to. And don't settle for anything less than EXACTLY what you want! You're the bride. And if anyone whines... I'll come lay the smackdown! LOL

I'm sorry that's happening to you.... why is it that it's always family that makes things so stressful about weddings when they can't have it their way yet the freak out at you about wanting it your way. It's your day not their's do it your way. She'll get over it..

| Sometimes I wish I was the type of person that didn't care....I mean I had a really hard time getting the courage to tell her. I feel bad, things like this really bother me. I am a pretty sensivite person, with a caring personality. I am still shaking, I feel so bad. I worry alot (maybe too much) about what people think of me and stuff. I'm sorry, can you tell that AF just showed up today, I am a little emotional and sensitive...AHHHHHHH. Is it really bad that at 10.25 am I need a drink????? lol

I'm sorry that talking to her didn't go well Hopefully on your wedding day, when she realizes how much she's running out of time with just the other party, she'll "get it" and hopefully will apologize.I absolutely think you did the right thing

LOL I haven't slept for 3 nights and I've been sick to my stomach because I need to TRY and talk to her about my feelings on how she's taken control of everything... at least you did it, u may feel bad now but on the day you'll probably feel relieved that you didn't have to fret over whether your hairs going to be done on time or not

I'm so glad you decided to go to another hairdresser. Just spoke to my hairdresser and told her what I just read and she said "1 hairdresser doing 14 people by 11:oo a.m. is impossible. (unless she has other hairdressers helping her) She said you want to make sure everyone looks their best and you need the time to do it right. Glad you opted to go elsewhere. This is your day! I'm like you, very caring and sensitive but I have had to learn to speak up and have no regrets about doing so. Good luck!

| Hey, good for you for telling her. That eliminates one bit of stress from your wedding day, so in my books that's a good thing no matter how mad at you she may be. I totally understand how you're feeling about having her upset at you though - I'm the same way. But sometimes you just have to make the decision that's right for you, and stand by it. And what kind of hairdresser complains about a bride being anal about her hair in the first place?!? You'd think they should understand how important that is. I'd be inclined to feel a little sorry for the bride whose hair she IS doing that day!
