AF has decided to resume her monthly visits and I'm only 5 weeks post-partum. I'm exclusively breastfeeding TWO babies, my newborn who feeds every 2-3 hours and my toddler who feeds 2-3 times a day. I don't pump or use a soother and have enough milk to feed an army, and still she returns. She returned after 8 weeks with my first. Both were 2 weeks after the lochia stopped. Aren't I lucky?
As much as this sucks, the good news is I know that I have to use some form of birth control if I don't want another baby and I don't have to wonder for months if the lack of AF is due to breastfeeding or if I'm pregnant again.
Anyone else want to whine about AF's visits?

| I can't relate seeing as I am still bf my almost nine month old son and still have no af in sight. Good for you bf both kids- that would be demanding!

Well I have never had a baby and I didn't even know that bf could keep AF away! Interesting hehe, guess I have a lot to learn!

| My periods started way early, too! I couldn't believe it, I had a period toward the end of February and Connor was born the end of January! They're pretty erratic, well, maybe they aren't, I was on the pill so long, I don't know how they're supposed to be and I never got a chance to find out when I went off, I got pregnant so fast. I have to say, I sure did NOT miss those periods... I'd forgotten what a pain they are!

That sucks! DD is 7.5 months and my period is still no where in sight. I know a lot of moms though who got their period right away even though they were bfing.

Im exclusively bf and baby is 4 months and no period yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way for awhile longer.
Thanksgiving weekend 2008 Planning a wedding out-of-province is a challenge

Call me Mel Having our first baby A BOY!! September 12  Wedding is no longer any of our 3 2008 dates. It will be 2010 - probably spring. Will decide on a date later. Perhaps I will be a "marchbride" again? Hey. At least I have a solid year now!!!

oh wow... thats sucks... I BF my daughter until she was one, and my AF only appeared when she was 11 months, because she wasnt drinking as much!
