My DH & I had a small wedding - just over 50 people with two months to plan.  These boards were a great help to us (translation, me....lol).

The hall - Georgian Manor, Barrie, Ontario.  The event Coordinator at Georgian Manor, Rhonda, was wonderful and very accommodating.  We used their on-site catering service - Executive Caterers.  We were very pleased with both the hall and the catering services.  Lots of compliments about the meal.  I highly recommend this venue and I see one of the brides on this site, Stephy, is also holding her wedding there.

Here's the hall:

Set Up for Dinner:

The Fireplace Room - We took some pictures in this room

The Flowers - Zehrs - Essa Rd, Barrie

Linda is the Floral Designer and I just cannot praise her enough.....she was wonderful

The Cake - Chez Barrie Bakery - We were very happy with the cake and got it for 1/4 of the price we were given by another Barrie bakery for the exact same cake.  Here it is:

The Dress - Pronovias from Bridal and Beyond, Mississauga

With so little time to plan my wedding, I had to find a dress off the rack and the ladies there were wonderful and spent hours with me.  I got the dress, shoes and tiara all from Bridal & Beyond

The Photographer - Gail, Nightingail Photography, Barrie

Gail was very accommodating and we are very happy with our photos.  I would highly recommend her services to anyone in the Barrie Area.  We were on a tight budget where photography was concerned and she accommodated our budget.

Aww sweetpea you remembered me!  I love looking at your pictures because it gives me an idea of what my day will be like

I've now got just over 4 months to go.  Rhonda will be sitting down with us soon to pick out our menu - can I ask what you ended up going with as far as the food was concerned?  I've heard that everything they make is fabulous.

Thanks for posting the review!

Hi Stephy,

I sure did remember you......I recall you saying you'd tried to stop by the hall to show fil's but a wedding was being held (that turned out to be mine).  All of the food was wonderful; we had lots of compliments.  We went with a sit-down dinner:

California Mix Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette; relish trays; Prime Rib; Roast Potatoes, Corn; California mix vegetables - brocolli, carrot batons; rolls; individual chocolate mousse for dessert.  We wanted something light for dessert in hopes the wedding cake would then actually be eaten later.  I hope everything goes well for you Stephy......what day is your wedding?

mmm rasperry vinagrette - that sounds good!  I think we're probably going to go with that for salad, the chicken in wine sauce, roast potatoes, and mixed veggies with the individual chocolate mousse for dessert as well.

My wedding is on August 26 at 4pm.  I wonder if they'll let me bring in candy for a candy buffet?

I'm sure they would let you Stephy.....Rhonda was really accommodating with us and I doubt she'd have a problem with it.  We were going to have the chicken with wine sauce as a second entree.....but since our wedding was so small and we didn't really know who would want chicken or beef, we decided to go with one.  I've heard it's really good though!!  Are you going to have some photos taken on the footbridge out front?  We wanted to, but of course it snowed heavily the morning of our wedding and I didn't want to tread through the snow up to my knees in my wedding gown, so we couldn't.  I think you could get some great photos there though.

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.

Making the decision to have a child-it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom.

To understand a mother's love, bear your own children.

Mother is the name for God on the lips& in the hearts of little children.

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Mrs. M and loving it!!!

We definitely plan to have pics taken at the footbridge.  I want to have a whole big group  picture there with wedding guests and all of the wedding party taken from up above on the balcony. I think that would be kind of neat - you never really see wedding pictures with all or most of the guests in one big group shot like that.  I also want to go to one of the nearby parks though, not sure which one, to have more pictures taken.  I'm going to have to scout out some of the ones in the Ardagh area once the flowers come out.  Any ideas?
