We live in Edmonton and are having our mini-honeymoon in Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs. http://www.fairmont.com/banffsprings/ There is so much to do in the mountain towns - hiking, camping, canoeing, white water rafting, shopping, spas, museums. It really depends on what you like to do.

FH and I have been to Banff and Jasper a lot, so pm me if you have any specific questions. However, depending on when you go, Edmonton is called Festival City, as there are always great festivals - theatre, food, art, music, cultural - throughout the summer. Jasper is about a 4 hour drive from Edmonton.

I second the above :D Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff and Kananaskis are the best places to go if you're wanting to be in the mountains

He said there was a resort that was like a stay in the caribbean, and I would love to go there. As well I was looking for any hot tourist spots to hit.

I've been there 2 years ago. It's beautiful.

Banff is a really nice place to go to. You should check out staying at Lake Louise. There's a hotel there, i think it's Fairmont Lake Louise....i'm sure you'll find it if you do a search.

I was asked by FH if we could honeymoon in Alberta as he has always dreamed of going there and I figured sure since it doesn't matter where we are as long as we are together right? But now I have no idea as to where to stay or what to do when we are there. Any hints would be appreciated.
