I'm sure your cruise line offers different excursions but here are some things we did:

VILLEFRANCHE - We went to Monaco/Monte Carlo, worth seeing IMO.

FLORENCE - I don't think you would need an excurison here (unless you wanted to go to Pisa, etc.) but you may want to get a bus into the city from the cruise line. Florence is pretty much a city you can explore on your own without problems.

ROME - "Must sees" IMO are the Vatican, Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum (which is a little far from the Spanish Steps, etc.), the Parthenon, and its a great city to do some shopping and exploring in (I like the Piazza Navona, for example).

NAPLES - I prefer Sorrento or Ischia to Capri.

SANTORINI - This is a gorgeous island to explore and shop in. Just beautiful. Another fun thing to do is a wine tour.

ATHENS - You can get a tour to the Acropolis and/or go shopping on the Plaka.

I've never been to Croatia but would really like to go, I'm sure its going to be beautiful!

Also, are you spending any days in Barcelona? Its a really great city. I would advise spending a few days there if you can.

RE: Booked our European Cruise!

Awesome!
