The peonies in the bouquets and the centrepieces are real. (we did use a few faux in other places... but not in the bouquets or arrangements) They were out of season, we had them flown in from "god knows where" - Holland. :) Well I was quoted a package price - and they fit into my budget... so I am not so sure how much extra they were.

My cake was made by my cousin. The flowers were from my florist - Welland Flower Shop.

Are those all real peonies in your bouquet? A florist I talked to meantioned that peonies are later bloom in ontario and I might have to use silk or flown in from goodness knows where? Are they costly for an april wedding?

NOPE! I just wanted something unique! And I came up with this idea - and I didnt even have any good pictures to show my florist bc it is so rarely done. I searched for MONTHS and months online and found no good pics to show her. BUT she read my mind anyways, and they were awesome!

My photographer is April Jeffs from April Jeffs Lakeside Studio - SHE IS GREAT! Cant say enough. I believe her site is apriljeffstudio.com - or google the name! lol

My Bm gowns were from the oh so lovely Bridal Factory in St. Catharines... only bc they were the best priced from there. I believe them to be Mon Cheri - in metalic sage colour.

yah jjf I did see FH before the ceremony. Neither of us are supersticious (sp!?!??) so it was no biggie.

Timeline:

11:00 photographer arrived for pic of boys at the in laws.

11:30 pics of the girls getting ready and bridal portraits at our house.

1:00 family pictures at the in laws

1:30 drive to greenhouse for weddingparty pictures

-take group and bride and groom shots till 3:30

-Drive to ceremony

4:30 - ceremony

5:15 - cocktail hour and receiving line

6:45 - enter reception

-cake cutting

-first dance (photographer left at this point)

-then the meal......

Your pictures are so beautiful! You must be thrilled. I love the one of you and your dad at the house..that is gorgeous and the ones of you snuggling with FH (B&W) they are so great too. You were such a beautiful bride, your photographer had an easy job. Can you post a timeline for your photographer that day as it looks like you had some with your GM before the ceremony and FH??? That would be really helpful. Thanks in advance and congratulations!

I too am using feathers in my bouquet...except they are ostrich feathers being used only at the base of the bouquets. It's a different feather than what was used in yours I think, but a similar idea. My FMIL is making them and she had the feathers shipped in from the US. My inspiration came from a pic I saw in a magazine a while back, where did you get yours? It truly is unique, it's great to see how nice it looks for you bouquets. :)
