If you are not opposed to previously worn gowns, there is a great re-sale place (they also have new gowns) called gown-go-round.

They have a website www.gowngoround.com. They are located in Holland Landing.

(this forum is horrible - takes forever to post replies, and the links to photos doesn't seem to work - keeps bouncing back to the main forum menu - VERY FRUSTRATING!!)

i will sell my dress for 600. was just about to post it, im in nova scotia though. here it is.

i didn't alter the bust in case i wanted to sell it after. in 5'4 and wore 2 " heals, its a size 6 but im a size 8, it also has a corset back so it can give or take a few sizes.

Did you try the FS section here on CB....some gorgeous gowns there. Another option if you are in the GTA is The Brides Project....I wish I'd known about it when I got married!

hello ladies thank you for helping....keep it coming....pass the word out....thanks so much for the suggestion...trying to get back to all of you at some point....
I am located north of Newmarket...
the dress that I have is very plain with two sashes going down the back in champagne with a broche on the front..Aline....with no other detail...I am looking for a dress with a bit more detail and volume on bottom...detail on tummy area, maybe a pick up skirt....like I said I am pretty much open to anything right now.

I'm 5'5" as well, my dress was a sz 8. altered to a size 6 in the bodice. It was hemmed to my height and I wore flat shoes. It wasn't strapless, but has a very flattering neck line (v in both the front and back). Where abouts are you located?

Hahaha this is the funniest thing I've read all week because I'm in the EXACT situation. I always loved my dress and I never thought I would ever change my mind but I found a dress by accident that I just absolutely fell in LOVE with. My maid of honour thinks I'm completely nuts of course lol. I looked into it and it's too late to get the new dress so I've just accepted that I'm wearing the original dress *tears*

I think I am going to just stick to my dress:satisfied:, I will just feel guilty if I got another. I loved my dress when I first tried it on but orignally I wanted a mermaid style.... I should have went with my gut. DAMN
