Canadian Bride is a major publication - you'd think they'd care more to update their website more regularly. It really speaks to un-professionalism behind the scenes. I work in online marketing as an outsourced consultant, and I can honestly say, this is a disgrace for them, really. You HAVE to keep your website updated if you want to keep competitive in today's times.

No one even seems to mod the boards - they just have mod "head" posts for each forum with contact information to a moderator for each section - I think they expect members to take it upon themselves to contact the mods if there is a problem, instead of the mods actively watching and participating in the boards.

They should really take cues from CanadianLiving.ca. I was on their website today, and registered for membership - their boards are manned by the webmaster herself and she even contributes to discussions in a positive and friendly/conversational way - she is PART of the community. This is what helps bond a company with its target market. Canadian Bride is really lucky we all keep coming back to be honest. It's just a shame that some of the other bridal forums online for Canadians don't get this kind of traffic - like http://www.mycanadianwedding.com.

</end rant>

:P
RE: Has anyone else noticed...?

Does anyone know who Admin is???

RE: Has anyone else noticed...?

don't even get me started... :doze: soooo many issues with this site! :D

RE: Has anyone else noticed...?

Yeah, they suck at updating the main page. I think I've seen it changed twice, and I've been on these boards since December 2006.

Has anyone else noticed...?

The main page of Canadian Bride has never changed?

Not the message boards, but the main page with articles and whatnot? That same photo of the girl in the tophat has been there for almost a year, if not more. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that too! :P
