That happened to me too Bella. I got all excited because I thought things were progressing and at my next doctor's appt she said I hadn't dialated at all. The god news is it kind of happens really fast. I went from 0-2 cm within 1 day. It'll happen! Hang in there...I know exactly what you're going through right now!

Thanks Chrissy. I think I lost a part of my mucus plug but it didn't have any pink or red so means nothing at this point :(

Baby is still kicking around and going nuts in there. I guess it's comfy!

OHHHH I love Ice cream...I eat some EVERYDAY! LOL

I have an OB appointment today and will find out the status but I'm already expecting no good news. I have no contractions...some crampy feelings but very sporadic and not consistent :(

I have my 5 best friends, mom, in laws, sister in laws, 2 co workers (who I'm sure are updating the other 10 that are waiting to hear lol) and everyone else under the sun asking me EVERYDAY if it's time....*sigh*

I'll keep you posted and send labour vibes your way!!

Ohhh Bella! So sorry I thought I was the last July mommie to be! OOPS! :hehe: It's so funny that it's you & I that are the last 2...re-reading over so many of your posts I found we have alot in common and now our due date waiting game!lol!! Too bad you didn't live near Burlington as we could wait,walk & eat ice cream together!:P

Please keep me posted and/or PM me anytime I would love to hear from you! I had my OB appt this morning & she told me that I am 1 cm dilated however she isn't 100% sure I will deliver soon but then there was Tex Can plus another friend of mine that was 2 cm at the beginning of last week that delivered 3 days later sooo I guess it's really out of our control!!lol:P Frustrating...haha!

Anywyho, thanks for listening and good luck to you!!!

Sooo it's me & the chocolate milk container & over cleaning the condo...lol I hate waiting!!!!!!Sorry but why is this taking so long???hahaha I had to get that out..thanks!

CONGRATS Katie!!!! Wow big babies for twins. You did such a great job carrying them to term. I can't wait to see pics of both your little girls and love both their names!!! Hope you are recovering well!

Our girls arrived as planned on Monday. Kalia Lynn at 0832 6lbs 14oz and Jordyn McKenna at 0833 7lbs 1oz. Both 19 3/4" long and both perfect. I am sore but doing well, waiting for my milk to come in. I will post a more formal announcement with pics later on once I am feeling a bit better. Just wanted to update you all!!

No, it's been a bad 7 days, that's for sure. The good news is that I'm done that girl's invitations (again) and I am officially on mat leave. Again. If anybody else emails me to ask for stuff or to complain or whatever, forget it. I am done for good this time, I need the break!

I tried some calomine lotion and it's not doing anything at all. :( At least I got a refill on my prescription cream for the first rash...

Hey Texcan, thanks for the info! I think what I've got is actually prurigo of pregnancy, not PUPPS. PUPPS is more common from what I can gather, and looks more like insect bites - in fact I was pretty sure that's what it was until I realized that there was no way I could have that many bites all over my body without basically hanging out in a beehive for a day. The first rash is localized to my belly, it's basically eczema which I was born with and some women get it in their third trimester. This one doesn't surprise me since I've battled eczema my whole life.

In any case, I showed the new "prurigo" rash to my doctor today and he said that about 1 in 300 women get it during pregnancy, and about 1 in 450 women get that, so I guess I'm just extra lucky. :) I got some calomine lotion today so hopefully that'll help take all the itch out. Wish me luck!

Chantal, it sounds like you might have PUPPPS. Apparently it is quite common with pregnant women, especially if it is your first. I had a friend who had it and she was miserable until she was able to see her doctor. I think there is a cream your doctor can give you for it to help stop the itching.

"Pruritic Uticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy, also known as PUPPP, is a benign, severely itchy and painful skin rash, that occurs in one out of 240 pregnancies and leaves the expectant mother in despair for relief.

PUPPP, as some women describe the rash, in a comparison to a feeling of poison oak and chicken pox, generally begins around the abdomen or thighs and can spread over the entire body except for the face, neck and hands. It has the appearance of bumpy, itchy papules that eventually spread to take on the appearance of reddened, scalded skin with welts. It generally feels worse at night and often causes sleep loss due to the intense itch.

The average onset of PUPPP generally occurs around 35 weeks of gestation, however, it has been reported from women as early as 20 weeks. In some cases it may appear in first pregnancies, but has occurred in women with previous subsequent pregnancies. PUPPP usually disappears shortly after delivery, but it can remain during the postpartum period.

There are many theories as to the cause of PUPPP, however, it still remains a mystery. One study conducted in France by Dr. Selim Aracting and his colleagues have reported studies linking PUPPP with cells from the developing male fetus. Their studies suggest that fetal cells can invade the mother's skin during pregnancy and in some way cause this dermotoses to develop. However, not all expectant mothers who develop PUPPP have male babies.

Trying to find relief can be an ongoing battle when an expectant mother is living with PUPPP. The sun, heat, warm water, and clothing can aggravate the rash. It is generally best to wear loose clothing and to try to keep the body as cool as possible. Treatment may consist of topical and / or oral corticosteroids. If you choose a homeopathic approach, some women have reported relief with the use of aloe, oatmeal bath soaks, ice packs, and the use of vaious lotions and soaps. According to www.americanpregnancy.com, "dandelion root has been reported to be beneficial to women with PUPPP, it is rich in Vitamin A, calcium, and iron. Dandelion Root has been known to help relieve mild edema and help provide nourishment to the liver." Caution should be warranted, "dandelion has been rated as having insufficient reliable information available on the herb," warns the National Medicines Database."

Oh no Chrissy! I really hope it happens for you soon.

You know how I had that rash on my belly that was super itchy and was making me nuts? Well, I still have it, but I have another rash too which is all over my body but is the worst on my thighs. It's like having a bunch of insect bites. It's even on top of the other rash. I am slowly going insane because I itch all day every day.

I swear this past week has been really rough for me, with this stupid client stressing me out and these rashes... I'm not even at my due date yet! I have a doctor's appointment this morning so I'm really hoping he can give me something to take the itch away. It's starting to impact how much sleep I can get at this point.

Thanks ladies. I've decided to just redo her order. I don't feel I owe it to her, but I really don't need the stress and it would be easier to just recreate the damn invitations. If it were any other time I wouldn't, but it'll take longer to argue with her than it will to just make these things over again.

At least I know that most of my clients love what I do... I truly think this woman is just insane. But after being awake for most of the night, and breaking out in some weird rash that's probably stress related, I'm going the easy route and am giving in. I got up at 6:30 this morning to another email from her and realized I can't keep this up and need to resolve it asap.

Hey ladies, I was just popping in this section to see how all you mommas-to-be are and I just wanted to add my 2 cents to you, Chantal, regarding your client issues.

Is there anyway you can just tell her that you are already done your work for your job? Just because your job is home-based doesn't mean you shouldn't get a mat leave. I would just tell her "sorry, you approved this when it went to print, there is nothing I can do. I am actually on my mat leave now and I am not even supposed to be working, but I am willing to redo the damaged ones for you. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I have to draw the line somewhere because my baby is due any day now."

I know it may be hard to do, but in the end it will be worth it. You definitely do not need this stress right now. I hope everything works out for you!

I'm so upset about this whole invitation business that I feel nauseous. She's complained about a lot of things, most of which don't make sense, but the one thing is she's saying something was printed off center. She approved it before it went to print, and it is NOT off center, so I really don't know what she's talking about. She said that some invitations got damaged in transit as well and I'm more than willing to redo those ones since that would be my fault when I was packing them, but she's really hell bent on this off center thing. I honestly don't know what to do... she wants me to redo the whole order which I wouldn't do even if I wasn't pregnant, because it's her fault. I want to tell her to f*ck herself, but of course that's bad business on my part. I'm so frustrated! The worst is that her mother is involved, which always makes things soooo much worse. The only problems I've ever had with clients have been because their moms start having freakouts. Girls, I know I should just let it go but I actually feel like throwing up because I'm so upset about this. With a week and a half until my due date I can't believe I have this crap to deal with. I'm tempted to just toss her $100 back and tell her to go away.

I know I'm obsessing and I'm sorry, but I just can't get over the comment about how these look like she made them herself. I'm so proud of my work, and I use only the highest quality materials and I really take my time with them. I can't believe she thinks she could do better! I feel like I've been slapped.

It's not good for you or the baby to get upset and all she seems to be capable of doing is upsetting you! I really hope you do have the baby soon because then you'll have no choice but to tell her to leave you alone! :D

Ugh, I'm not making ANY progress over here! (But that's great news for you Chrissy, I'm excited for you!) I was having really strange pains on Thursday and when I timed them they were coming every 8 or 9 minutes, but of course it didn't actually lead to anything. :( Wish me luck that something big happens with me soon!

I just got another email from my client who has a problem with her invitations. The thing she has a problem with is something she approved, so I feel like I'm off the hook. Apparently her mother is causing a huge problem and hates everything. I feel really insulted - she said it looks like she slapped glue on stuff on made them herself (which is sooo not the case, i really pride myself on the quality of my work). I just had a little breakdown about it.

Well ladies, I lost my mucus plug today! I went from having a closed cervix to losing my mucus plug. I know that doesn't mean labour is going to start but it is a sign that things are progressing. YAY!

So, I am all pre-admitted to the hospital. Got my arm bands on and everything and I have to keep them on all weekend. I go back Monday morning at 6:30am and will hopefully be holding my babies a few hours after that!!!
