So I guess we will find out then!

I told her the date of my last period, and when she saw the bloodwork results it said that I was only 2-3 weeks pregnant... so she said that I am not as far along as I may think, and she was saying that it looks more like a Feb 15 due date rather than end of Jan.

But I guess that two weeks doesnt really make all that much difference, because he or she will come whenever the hell they want! lol

RE: Determining Due Date

yup...first day of your last period.

RE: Determining Due Date

The weeks are counted from your last period, so the first 2-3 weeks of your pregnancy, you aren't even pregnant yet. :D

I know, confusing, but that's just how they do it. The books have accounted for that.

If you are uncertain of your dates, you can ask your doctor for a dating ultrasound. There are risks to the baby for every u/s you do, albeit small, but the dates are also important. A doctor should be able to tell you if this is in your best interest or not.

gr8blessings

Determining Due Date

Hey everyone!

I know the whole rule on how to calculate your EDD. And I've entered it in the calculators online and it comes up with the due date of Jan 27/09. But that would make me like 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. I know that I must have ovulated late because I am positive that we didnt have sex when I was supposed to be ovulating, and it was actually a week to a week and a half later. Also, when I took the pregnancy tests the day before AF was due, and also 3 days after AF was due they came back negative. It wasnt until I was 10 days late when I got a positive (I'm usually a 30day cycle, give or take a few days)

So really I'm probably not 5 or 6 weeks pregnant right? Also, I just got my bloodwork done, and my HCG level was 108, which I guess is approximately 2-3wks.

I'm just confused as to how far along I really am. I want to know so that in all the books I can follow along week by week.

I guess I'll have to wait until my first ultrasound.... which by the way is when?? I have my first visit with my family doctor this friday.

Thanks for any help you can offer!! :)
