Whem I use a site that is in Ferenheit I have prints a conversion chart off the internet to help me convert exactly.

I also very much keep the saying in TCOYF to "see the forest through the trees" in my head. Basically after a few months of temping you will get a feeling for where your temps should be.

regarding the CM and peak day. My cycles are pretty regular with maybe only a day or 2 difference soo figuring out my peak day is easy. CM is more of a challenge, I don't really notice that I get EWCM, it mostly is wet or creamy sooo I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I either don't produce it very much or if I just don't get it to check.

RE: Another temp charting question...

I am having a bit of a hard time with the CM. I'm focusing right now on temps and checking my CM daily and hopefully I will eventually figure it out. It seems the only way I can describe it as of yet is wet lol. :P As for peak day I'm not there yet. I'm currently on CD 12 and hopefully it wont be too hard to determine.

RE: Another temp charting question...

For those who are charting, do you find it difficult to determine your CM? and when your Peak day is?

RE: Another temp charting question...

Here is what my May chart looked like. If you visit American sites then using F is the norm.

RE: Another temp charting question...
jmhein (6/25/2008)
Wow, my basal thermometer must be one of the only ones in Celsius? She mentions in the book in your pre-ovulatory waking temps are below 97.3 F you could have hypothyroidism and if your pre-ovulatory waking temps are high you could have hyperthyroidism (can't remember the high number). Doing searchs on the internet yield many different results for normal waking temperature, but a source that seemed reasonable said between 97.4-98.0 F are normal pre-ovulatory waking temps. However, you just have to keep temping and you will hopefully see a pattern.
I've been charting for 2 cycles (currently on #2) and my temps are low and I'm just waiting to see what happens. My first cycle off the BCP was 120 days and I did see a temperature shift 12 days before ovulation. The current cycle is about day 50 and I'm counting still and no temperature shift. When you do see the temperature shift it is pretty neat.

Don't fret yet...just keep on temping and hopefully you will see a pattern.
With regard to low temps - my pre-ov temps are normally in the 97.0-97.4 range. Last cycle I had weird stuff happen where they were suddenly like 96.5-96.9 every pre-ov day, so I got tested for thyroid problems and everything came back fine. This cycle, its back to what is 'normal' for me. So I think the ranges are just general guidelines...

RE: Another temp charting question...

I know in Taking Charge of Your Fertility the author speaks about hypo and hyperthyroidism. I should be pre-ovulation, I am only on CD9, but my temps all along have ranged between 36.5 and 36.7. Are these unusually high temps?

Also, heheh, I have only been able to take my temp AFTER pressing snooze at least a couple of times! I cant help it, I am not even awake the first few times I press snooze, it's just an automatic reaction! :) Would this affect my temps and make them less accurate? Should I try harder to temp right away when my radio goes on?

Thanks for the help!
