No, mine isn't exactly like that it closes with velcro, but I love it, it works wonderfully.

I used that one and it just didn't work -- he wiggled out of that one in no time. To tell you the truth a large sheet/blanket worked way better. I have one if anyone wants it -- to me it was a waste of money.

It says that it will hold up to 16lbs. But I have also read that you should NEVER swaddle your baby once they can roll so by 16lbs most babies can roll except my dear nephew who was 16 lbs at 8 weeks (bless his heart..he was just "healthy")[/quote]

Oh there are many babies who are swaddled for many months -- just release an arm or both arms. My lo was swaddled till he was close to 4 months and he was a big boy (98th % for everything). We stopped using it when he became the reincarnation of Houdini. I've tried a few and they never worked for us -- the best was just a large stretchy blanket.

I've heard excellent reviews about this swaddle blanket and I'm going to get it for my next lo. I've seen them fairly cheap on ebay:

Toby's almost 11 weeks old and is 14 pounds!!!
I think he's starting to prefer having his arms out so maybe we'll try that and see how he sleeps. We call him 'our little shish taouk'. :)

He's also starting to undo himself because I think the blankets are getting small. The other night we stood and watched as he wriggled out of the whole thing. It was soooooo funny. First the legs, bum wiggling, legs pumping. Then then arms, twisting his torso and shrugging his shoulders until he got his arms loose. What a little devil![/quote]

LMAO!!! That sounds exactly like how Oli was -- you have a lil Houdini on your hands. We even tried using a clothes pin to try and keep him in. Here's a pic (don't mind me as I was a sleep (looking pretty pathetic) and dh took the pic -- lil bastard):

I'm not sure about those ones but Halo makes a great sleep sack/swaddle. You can get it at Snugglebugz in Burlington (not sure where you are).

The best swaddle blankets EVER (I tried a LOT) are from Indigo... weird I know. They are very large and stretchy. I used them every night with DS until he was about 3.5 months or so and then we went to a sleep sack...

They are VERY expensive though. About $30 for one blanket. We got a few of them 50% off....

The swaddle sheet is at the back...

Great burp pads too..
