We have rockabye baby Bob Marley and Rolling stones. She doesn't care for them too much but it could be because she's not even 2 weeks old yet. I will trying to use them though:)

Funny, these two are the only ones I remember all of from childhood! (And I always thought that Rock-a-bye Baby was a bit morbid, even as a child. Glad to have some other words for it!)

I have the rockabye baby Led Zepplin. I love baby beluga. they also have these neat CD's. I have one with my Lo's name from a friend. The kids LOVE them especially when they get older. I also sing the Dixie Chicks - Godspeed and lullabye. They are my FAVS!

Oh these are awesome!! We have a bunch of the discs saved on my i-pod (which DH has turned into the baby's i-pod by getting rid of all my music and putting on only lullabies lol) We sometimes play them while falling asleep and are planning on playing them at the hospital (hopefully very soon) so the baby recognizes the music. My favorite is Radiohead, DH's is Metallica:)

That one's on my list - and Baby Beluga. I just recently got rid of the records we had of them, so I want to replace them with CDs. I'm still looking for a couple of the older ones I remember though - guess I'll have to talk to my mom and go in search of some specific songs.

As for the Mother Goose classes, I'm in BC but I found a place near me that does them - thanks for the suggestions. I'd still like to learn a few before the LO gets here, though.

I bought the Anne Murray CD Hippo In My Bathtub
Its one that my pmom layed for us when we were little and would always sing along to. I like the CD and dd seems to like it too.

The OEYC offers a class called Mother goose. You sing lots of songs with your lo and there are lullabies too. It's free and offered at all centres. We had a great time. It's a 10 week session. We started at 3 months but are taking it again this fall when he is 9 months.

Lullaby CDs

I'd like to get a couple of lullaby CDs to re-learn some of the ones my mom used to sing, and pick up a few new ones. Does anyone have a particular one (or a book) that you'd recommend? I'm looking for some classic songs, rather than something written recently (if that makes sense).

I suppose a book/CD combo might be good - I'd go for just a book, but I'd like the tunes too and I'm not that great at reading music. TIA.
