Anyone up for making a new thread? I can't say I am, too tired. Other than that my tummy pain is almost gone, unless I overdo it. It's VERY hard for me to just laze around but I must to heal properly.

Yay so Pat did call the kilt rental place but they won't reserve the jacket over the phone (even though we've already come in and figured out which size we need). So now we have to go down this Saturday (again) which is going to be fun because we can only go between 9:30-12:30 as we're going with friends to see Spamalot at 2pm. Why does this have to be so difficult. It's just a jacket (and sporren, vest, shirt, bow tie...hrm maybe a little more then I thought).

ETA: Forgot to mention that I'm outta here. Sounds like a quiet night at home though as Pat's off to help a friend do some work in the basement.

Jim's mom stopped by yesterday too...she was halfway home from a trip to the dr... (she lives almost 2 hours west of us, appt was 2 hours n. east of us...she was tired and needed a rest..barley said a word, then left half an hour before jim got home. I was like...um, are you staying the night?

Wow, Ivo's parents sound like such a joy to be around. Do they live in the same town? If so, why on earth would they stay in your house for a week and not in their own? I visit would be one thing, but staying is another!!!

Canks: Awe big hugs to you! Sorry to hear your helpers that came weren't so helpful. I too would be flabergasted at someone who napped on my couch while I had been up for days on end feeding and taking care of their little one. 5 mins of peace and quiet doesn't seem like too much to ask. Also why do they think that you would have feeding problems? If it's Ivo's sister then it should run in the women on his side of the family...not yours wouldn't it?

I could have written this myself 6 months ago! How old is Marcus now? He may be going through a growth spurt and cluster feeding. I was reading old wall posts on a friend's page in FB and I said back in Feburary that one feed essentially lasted 5 hours. Yes. 5 hours. I pray you don't have that! Now, that wasn't constant, but it was pretty damn close![/quote]

Oh we went thru that too. I would just sit and cry and breastfeed, and wonder why I ever wanted a baby. Then he would make a cute face, and I would remember. I really hope things are only going to get better. Although I think there is another growth spurt coming at 6 weeks of age (he's 4 1/2 weeks now). I hope we make it thru it in one piece!

Funny story...I was driving back to work and at a stop i was looking at my pictures and there was a car with 5 women beside me. They yell over that I must be excited. I yelled back...I'm having a GIRL!!!! They were cheering and so excited for me. told me to drive safely.

I am one very happy woman!

Yes, that's Ivo resting his pop can on my baby. Better than a beer can I suppose.

I needed you guys soooo bad the first 2 weeks after he was born, but I just couldn't get around, and I didn't have the time. The first week was actually OK, I was just in pain. The second week, Ivo's parents decide they want to help us out, even though Ivo was off that week and my mom was here. So despite our refusal, they took a week off, and came and stayed with us for a week. Let me tell you I BAWLED every day that week. One memory that stands out is me holding Marcus, I look over to the other couch, and what do I see? Ivo's dad napping. I didn't get a chance to nap that week!

Apparently their version of help was watching TV all day (we recently got illegal satellite), asking Ivo to go play tennis everday, and holding Marcus when he was sleeping. They each tried to change his diaper once, and both times he got diaper rash. And when they cooked, it was spicy (as in not bland and plain), so I couldn't eat any of it. Thanks for the help guys!

Oh, and apparently Ivo's sister had all kinds of problems breatsfeeding, so they kind of put that on me, and were constantly worried about if my milk came in, and if he was drinking enough. I felt like a frigging cow. I freaked on Ivo one day because he came to me with a "solution". Apparently they have some drink that is packed with nutrients, and we should get some for me. I told him that instead of talking about what I should eat, someone should bring me something to eat, since I was starving!

Whew, I needed to vent, even after all this time!

Oh, ad Sid, give it time. We couldn't have afforded it when we bought this condo either, but we've managed to build up enough equity this year and with a 40 year mortgage, it will carry for less than what we pay now.

The yard is nice. It has a fire pit near the back, too, which is pretty cool!

I'm with Will, Maggie... no $400 wedding shoes for me. Mine cost $20, if that, and were comfy. Good enough for me!

Yay to ultrasound day (to plagarize Corrinna!)! It is truly the most exciting thing I ever experienced, seeing Connor's little heart beating a mile a minute, all his little bones... I cried, Chris cried (though, that may have been with relief because there weren't two of them in there!)

I'm doing OK. I have cramps now as well as some tummy pain but the tylenol 3s are helping with that.

Good news about Connor's sleeping, I hope he keeps it up!

Paul forgot to get up to let Uma out to pee and she made it through 7 hours so yay to that!! No more getting up at 4am. He's off all week so we don't have to worry about her prison until next week. Pretty soon we can just crate her all day but not yet. Hopefully in a few months.

Oh and we found a puppy class place that actually returns my ***ing calls! I've been having a damn time finding a class for Uma and I finally did. It's 12 weeks and the lady seemed like she knew her sh!t so I think we'll go with her. I want Uma to interact with dogs so she's not scared after her attack.

Here's the link to the house. What is attractive to us about it is that there is a walkout to the back yard from the kitchen, it's on a quiet street and there's a great park in walking distance, complete with a splash pad. Sorry no pic of the puprle tub, though!

Sometimes this job does have its perks.
