I will get photos up its just been a hectic time right now. soo happy to be married, cant get used to my new last name its kinda weird and imi trying to get my name changed on everything and hope that i dont forget something. hope everyone else is doing well.

I'd also like to say congratulations to ALL of the October brides as well! WE ALL DID IT!!! We had a beautiful month weather wise and we all made it through the process! It feels so good to be married, so I am assuming you all feel the same! I still can't believe the day has come and gone...it was amazing, but I can't help but be a little bit sad that I have nothing to do with my evenings anymore ;) I miss planning and the antcipation, but it was all worth it for the man!! :P Congratulations Girls!

aww.. sorry to hear about your photographer. Hopefully your friends and family got some good candids though. Doesn't make up for paying a professional, but will help preserve the memories.

I can't believe I get married tomorrow. Pretty much everything is done, the house is finally clean, and our families arrive for the rehearsal dinner in 2 and a half hours. This is my down-time to relax. I picked up my dress from the seamstress earlier today and had the giddy, happy feeling, and then 2 seconds later almost felt like crying out of happiness. I think my emotions are going to be on a roller coaster over the next day or so.

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories, thoughts and opinions. It's been a lot of fun wedding planning, even though at times I wished we just eloped!

Dont woory too much about the weather - Remember photographers prefer overcast skies!! We had beautiful sunny weather and due to our photographers incompitance (a whole other story) so many great shots were ruined due to the sun (isnt the photog supposed to know how to avoid this?????). So this is one worry you wont have!!!

thanks so much i cant believe that my day is comming so fast only 4 more days thats crazy. i never thought that it would come. i cant seem to get all my cleaning done its nuts and everything at the house is piling up with everything else that i need to get done this week. i need to find the energy to get it done but im soo tired. cant wait for this weekend for the wedding and then for when we go away for 2 nights its going to be a nice get away and well deserved rest.

Awwwwwwww - sorry about the weather....don't freak about the weather, the day of our rehearsal was soooooo brutal we didn't think there was anyway to get married outside and started planning for indoors. By a miracle, we were able to get married outside, but our cocktail hour was held inside....as you say, you can't control it, and of course you can't HELP but think about it, but no matter what the weather, it will be fantastic! My experience about us brides who don't have that awesome blue sky fantastic day, we get a trade off with some really unique/stunning skies in our wedding photos ;)

Good luck to those of you taking your big walk this weekend - it ROCKS! Trust in the planning you've done and just roll with the day :D

Only 5 days to go until Oct 25 ... I can't believe how fast this month has gone.

The weather forecast isn't looking to great, especially since Oct has been such a nice month. But, since it is the one thing completely out of control, I guess I can't worry too much about it ... but it'll still be a bummer.

It's just the final details this week and cleaning the house before the rehearsal dinner. I have this feeling of forgetting something ... but I wish I knew what it was.

Hi Ladies,
I'm back from the honeymoon! Just catching up. I've seen some of your wedding photos and it looks like every one had picture perfect days! We don't have many pics back yet, so I'm going to wait until a few more roll in before doing my post.

Wedding was perfect! The weather was iffy, but of the one pic I've seen, the clouds look very dramatic. Our big flub was my name was spelt "Jen" on the back of our favour and family from DH's side kept saying "I wrote your name as Jenn on your card - I'm so sorry" so it was a good laugh! DH looked great and everything went off with out a hitch. Anytime we got emotional saying our vowes on in our speeches, we'd just reach out and grab the other's hands and it was like a calming miracle......friends said they lost a lot of money because I didn't actually breakdown during the ceremony.

Honeymoon - couldn't have asked for a better time. We flew back from Toronto and did some emergency laundry and left the next morning to drive to Portland. Portland is awesome and we had a great time, then went to the Oregon coast for a few days. We had tentative plans for every day of our trip except wed and DH hit the web to figure out where we should go/stay. In typical fashion, he got lost online and asked if I would be upset if we changed our plans a bit. He found a great deal on a flight to vegas and 3 nights accomodation, so we did some driving down the coast the next day to say we'd seen it and then back to Portland for our flight to vegas!!!! It was nice to get some pool time and I'm a huge cirque du soliel fan, so DH got us tickets to 2 shows - I'm such a lucky girl!

We got home late last night and spent today getting caught up after being gone for over 3 weeks....DH has to leave tomorrow on business and I'll be flying solo....it will be so strange after being together nonstop for 3 weeks.

To those Oct brides who are still to come - Have a great great time!

Just over a week to go until Oct 25th... I can't believe it. My work had a shower for me last night, it was great!!:) FH has his stag on Friday.

I think the plans are all pretty much in order. But I need to make a few more lists and check them over again to see. I can't wait for the honeymoon!!!

6 days for me to. We leave here tomorrow morning...an 11 hour drive. Trying to get the packing done without forgetting any of the wedding stuff. My parents are bringing the wedding dress when they come on thursday. Lots to do still but can't do it till I am in ottawa. Talk to you all later and hope the thanksgiving brides had a good weekend.

Thanks so much for everything - mostly listening to my alternating bragging/*****!ng. Without you ladies, my wedding would have consisted of happy meals, streamers, balloons, and me crying and shaking in the corner... or vegas.. you know, whichever!

5 DAYS!!!!!

FH is finally here and napping:kiss: Poor boy is pretty beat up from the hurricane relief efforts in haiti and has a huge gash on his side that goes from mid thigh to mid torso from a food container slipping and he has two black finger nails - including a partially black ring finger:( ) Poor boy thought as an officer he would never have to do manual labour,lol!!!

But he is home safe and sound and now we have to go get our marriage licence and I am off to get his special treat - a brazillian;)

I am just counting down until next tuesday! That when I am done work for 2 weeks. SO excited. I just keep telling myself get though the next 3 days at work ( I am on overnights) and then time will fly by... Meeting with venue on Friday to finalize everything and pay lol, sister is coming in from BC on Friday, Thanksgiving on Saturday, then 3 days of work and then it will almost be the day!!

I can't wait to see pictures from everyone.

Just finishing up my table #s/menus and they look great..will post a pic as soon as i can...only have 10 more favor boxes to get ribbons on...still need to buy tulle for the arch and then i think all my diy stuff is done:P

FH gets here tuesday morning:w00t: havent seen him in 10 weeks...am a bit angry with him though as it seems he has been on a bit of a bender with the boys in halifax since he has gotten back from sea on wednesday:angry:

Hi Girls!

Congrats on it being OUR month. Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been lurking though. (My usual web browser errors-out when I try to post, so I have to use a different one.)

It's been busy over here. Had my final fitting, my dress now fits with out causing me a great deal of pain. No pics - BM's didn't use my camera (boo!).

Had my bridal shower. It was at WestEd in a private room, then moved to a theme room at the hotel, and we partied into the night! My best friend planned her year long trip around my wedding, and she landed back in the country with her husband and came up here to shower me. Angry / insulted at MIL - at bridal shower she gave me a bunch of gag gifts from the dollar store (including asprin, his&hers ice bags, bride and groom plastic shot glasses complete with necklace) I know I should let it go, but I found it to be rather insulting. I would have been happier with a generic blank card.. oooh.. and MIL update, she hasn't told me what she's wearing, but from what I hear from SIL, she's wearing the same colour as my mom (teal) which she's known about for 6 months.. #%$^&%$#$

Me and my two best friends, please note the beautiful "princess" dress I got to wear all night.. it's now covered in signatures, as was my skin for a week!

The beginning of the end.. Sooo much pain the next day!

Anyways, other than begging/bi#ching at my FH to pick up some wedding slack, and *SCREAMING* at my mother for making drunk phone calls to my MOH complaining about some of my choices... My new job is good, and I hope this post summarizes why I've been doing more stalking than typing.

BEST WISHES TO YOU OCTOBER 4TH GIRLS! - Remember, all you have to do is show up and say yes, everthing else is gravy.... Now why won't I take my own advice?
