The mothers and groomsmen and DH entered to Pachelbel's Cannon in D

My ladies entered to Yellow- Vitamin String Quartet
It was so beautiful!!!!

My dad and I walked down to a bagpiper and drummer playing Highland Cathedral.....it was amazing!

One of my friends played the guitar and sang "when you kiss me" by Shania Twain when we signed the registry

We exited to Loch Lomond played by the bagpiper and drummer....I honestly dont remember it LOL I was tooo HAPPY!!!!

Oh my Gosh!!! I have been on the hunt for something to walk down the isle to and had no idea. And then I read your post!! The Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie still to this day. I can quote it almost from heart. I know, so sad. I think I am going to steal your idea.

ive been thinking the same thing and feel the same way. but im not sure yet. im having so much trouble with music and the wedding is in 7 weeks.

we are using lullaby by the dixie chicks for me walking up the aisle.

we are walking back up the aisle together to feeling good by nina simone (from the six feet under soundtrack)

i haven't chosen the pre-ceremony music yet, and i don't have a wedding party. yikes the wedding is in 13 days, i better get on that!

I am walking down to "Storybook Love" From Princess Bride...as a little girl (and now still), I looooved that movie. I had the hardest time deciding on a song, but when I heard that someone else on here was using it...not sure who, it was a WHILE ago...I was like...ding ding ding! That's the one! I am so pumped!! I'm going to use the somewhere over the rainbow song for signing the registry, and Fly me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra for the recessional.

I wish I knew what I was walking to...

FH's sister and her fiance are plaything the music for the ceremony. She plays the fiddle and her fiance plays the guitar. I asked them if they knew a few songs but she said they don't play classical music. So later on I asked, "So when can we go over the songs?" And her response was, "Oh, we already know what we're playing."

Uhhh... thanks for sharing with me! Guess it'll be a surprise when I walk down the aisle!:crazy:

We finally have our whole processional figured out, and even some of the prelude/postlude, so here it is!

Prelude and Postlude songs: The King of Love My Shepherd Is, Calon Lan, Cwm Rhondda (Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer), Here I am Lord, and a few others that I can't think of right now.

Parents/Grandparents: G.F. Handel's Trumpet Tune
Groom and Groom's Party: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
Flower Girls, Bridesmaids, and Maid of Honour: Bach's Sleepers Awake (Watchet Auf)
Me: Canon in D

We still haven't chosen songs for the signing of the register/unity candle (we'll be using the same song for those two) or for the recessional.

LOVE the Mandy Moore song - Only Hope. I walked down the aisle to that last summer as a BM in a friends wedding. I pretty much cry every time I hear it!

We're still debating on what to use for FH to walk down to, but we have the rest picked out:

Bridal Party - Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

Me - Breathe, Faith Hill

Registry Signing - Better Together, Jack Johnson

Recessional - Walking on Sunshine, Katrina & the Waves (oldie but a goodie!)

I have TONS of songs that I wanted to use, but I've had Faith Hill picked out for ages, the lyrics are just perfect! I'm going to have my "runners up" played as guests are seated and after the ceremony, so we still get to hear them:

Canon in D, The Prayer (Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli), Come Fly with Me (Kiesha Chante) and a few others...

We'll probably end up going with Bless the Broken Road, Rascal Flatts for FH's song, it seems to fit with the mood of the others (Although he REALLY wants the Top Gun theme song, Danger Zone....can you say 80's??)

Anyone else have ideas that may fit with what we have so far??

I using Trumpet Voluntary. My step-mother, good friend and officiant always wanted to use it but because she and my father had a civil ceremony she didn't. She loved it when Princess Di used it and asked if I would condiser it. For her anything!

I still don't know what to use for the exit though!

We picked out our music for the wedding ceremony but I don't remember what it is as we have a harpist playing the wedding and she played us some sample songs and we picked the ones we liked. So I forget what they are called. They are beautiful and when I get the names I will post them.

When my FH asked what I want to walk down the aisle to, I replied "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns n' Roses. He thought I was kidding, I thought I was kidding....but now I kinda really want to! I need to try and convince the uber-traditional organist to play it. Maybe if I just give her sheet music without the title or the artist....:P
