We are paying $800, we get our engagement pic session (this sunday squeeee) for about 2 or so hours. Our wedding day coverage, getting ready until after the ceremony and posed pics. We opted to not have reception coverage but, he is coming to our reception as a guest and will shoot for free. It also includes our Trash The Dress session.

My package was $650 and included 250 4x6's in an album, 3 5x7's and 3 8x10's and we had her for about 8 hours to as many locations as we wanted. She also gave us a cd with all the pics on it so there were about 400 that she took. I found 250 to be more than enough, so you'll probably be fine with 200.

My photo package is $1000.

Includes: engagement photo session - did on Sunday - 218 pics (2 hours), from 3:00pm - 9:00pm pictures - all photoshopped and on disc with full reproduction rights. My photographer uses a 16 GB card and it fits 10000 pics (JPEG) but with the resolution she uses she gets 1000 - 1500 (TIFF). Had a couple of my engagement shots done at London Drugs with Awesome results. I'm happy.

Here's what was included in our package:

Details:
Groom's House, Bride's House, Church, Studio, Park and Reception (until first dance)
Wedding Album containing 120 large & small images
Preview Album containing 300-400 images
One 16x20 Wedding Portrait (mounted and laminated)

We also purchased the CD of all preview album images for distribution as we saw fit($500, ours had 500). Saved a TON on printing images and made FABULOUS gifts. The photographer stayed until after 11pm taking photos and rockin' out with us. He ended up creating a new product from our (and a friend's) wedding - a DVD montage of edited images. He gave us a copy for free (approx $400 value - you can see it at http://www.alandickson.com/article/-139.asp, we're the B&W photo couple - the colour photo is a really good friend of mine).

Final cost was $5000.

Photography was a 'no skimping' for us - very, very important.

Depending on what you want, 200 pictures could be more than enough.

I think I'm pretty lucky. FH and I have hired a family friend who's into professional photography. For $350, we get an album of 200 pictures that are 4X6, a few others in larger sizes, everything will be on CD and she's taking pics before, during and after the wedding!!

I think 200 will be enough. Will you get all 200 prints on the cd? Is there an option to get more than 200 later down the road? Maybe sit and make a list of definite photo's that are a MUST for you and see what that adds up to.

For 1500$, we're getting:

8 hours / 1 photographer
a high resolution DVD containing all pics
30 page leather album with the pictures we'll have picked and that he'll have retouched
a CD with the pics web size (533x800)

The photographer says he can take about 600-700 pictures

Online gallery for viewing and ordering of your wedding images for one year

8 hours of wedding day coverage •$2795

Usually covers bride's house, ceremony, photo session, reception. Minimum 450 proofs.

I am trying to decided on a package for my wedding. I don't want to go crazy. The one I am thinking has 100 prints and she will also add another 100 prints onto the CD, so 200 in total. Is that enough? too much?

Help!
