We were thinking of doing exactly the same thing, but I was putting off coming up with a poem! This is just off the top of my head, but not too bad...

" Please plant these seeds,

In memory's row.

Planted in your garden,

You'll watch them grow.

Remember the love ones,

That we have lost.

And remember the toll,

Of cancer's costs."

Plant a seed (bulb) in honor of "cancer, heart, MS, etc" and watch it grow, the donation you make may help someone else to watch their garden grow?

Hi Ladies,

We were thinking of doing charitable donations in lieu of favours however the charities we have picked charge quite a bit for little place cards for guests. So we were thinking of getting bulbs or seeds for the guests to plant in their gardens but wanted to attach some sort of poem to explain the charitable donation as well.

I am blanking and can't think of anything....any takers???
