Thank you! I picked October 10th 2009 or October 17th as my backup which I may need to use if I book with Montecassino banquet hall cause they are all booked up for October 10th :( I'll have to see tonight as I am meeting with the priest at my church. Hopefully they have my date open :)

I, too, didn't know anything about wedding planning before I came here! One of the best suggestions I heard was to either buy a good checklist book (I have the Bride's Book of Lists) or find one online. There are tons of them, that give not only lists of everything you can imagine, but also a general timeline :)

LOL! I was the exact same way! I had hardly even been to many weddings ... so I had no clue where to start. I promise once the ball starts rolling it'll all come together! I started off by figuring out what colors I wanted for my wedding.. I ended up coming up with pink, periwinkle blue, and yellow. Browse the 'Inspiration' boards.. there should be lots of color inspiration to help you decide! After I figured out my colors (and already had a budget in place) I started browsing around for where I wanted the wedding and reception.. and after that the ball started rolling!!!!!!!

Then came (no specific order) the dress, the centerpieces, the invitations, the BM (bridesmaid) dresses, who would make the cake--what it would look like, how I'd wear my hair and make-up, the shoes for reception/ceremony, music, vows, RINGS....etc...etc...etc!!!!!

lol, don't get overwhelmed ..take it one step at a time and have fun!! And DON'T pick your dress out TOO soon! I went on a whim and picked out my dress... and now I'm the PROUD (or not) owner of 2 wedding dresses... lol!!
