Here are a couple pictures I have of overlays and Table runners as well. I got table runners made up of Chiffon Material for my tables.

The gold spread over the table is an overlay. The one in the picture is made of organza, so it's see-through and adds an accent to whatever colour is under (you can add layers of different organza colours for different effects.) Usually, they're put on top of the white table cloths that the hall uses.

an overlay is something that you put on the table that just really adds some colour to the table and more decorations...organza material...im not sure how else to explain it?

Can anyone remember someone saying that they are considering making and selling custom overlays? any help here would be great looking for somein the kitchener waterloo area?
