We are super excited about them because, in answer to your comment, Luckyleaf, we both love to cook and experiment and entertain, so it will be nice to have shiny new, great performing appliances in a full kitchen, after two years in the gallery kitchen of our condo!

Aprilgirl --- a few reasons....we went in thinking we'd buy all KA, saw the GE Cafe stove and had to go back and reassess we loved the look of it that much....we would have done all GE cafe but the fridge only comes as a side-by-side, which I was adamant against (personal preference), but we just loved the stove, plus it had a few cool features, such as a fifth burner that doubles as a flat griddle, it rated better than the KA gas stove in terms of repairs, and we have a friend with a contact at GE for replacement parts, so we can replace our burner grills which was a nice little plus.
RE: My appliances!

Love them all....i'm sure they're going to look fantastic in your kitchen.

RE: My appliances!

LOVE THEM PEACH!!!!!! As I mentioned later in the post, if you actually really use any kitchen appliance (meaning you cook dinner every night and breakfast on the weekends etc) then anything you buy is gonna get dirty and go through some wear and tear. I also just didn't buy stainless steel because it was double the price and I found black could look very sleek as well. We did a complete house reno including kitchen when we bought so I didn't want to go too expensive with the appliances so that I could use that money elsewhere in the renos. The only thing I will say people have to be careful with regarding stainless steel is that surprisingly it does scratch and leave burn marks so just to be very careful when cleaning it. I did however find a great cleaning product to tackle grease on stainless steel for my parents, it's called SUPER CLEAN (I know cheesy name) but it really does CUT THROUGH GREASE. We used it for their outdoor bbq cause that was also stainless steel and whenever there was a buildup on the stove.

RE: My appliances!

awesome appliances! ours are all kitchen aid too except for the dishwasher and washer/dryer.

we got the KA gas stove-- what is your stove? why didn't you get the KA? just curious?

RE: My appliances!

Peach beautiful applicances!!

Luckyleaf, I have all stainless steel appliances and although they do get marked up, the are not a pain to keep clean, as much as people made me believe they would be!! Also even if my fridge has a few marks, I don't find it looks incredibly awful that I can't stand the sight of it. It's not as bad as I thought!

RE: My appliances!

Looks great!

Do you mind if I ask how much it all came out together?

I actually decided against stainless steel because unfortunately it can be a real pain to clean (which I learned from my parents' home) and because it was always like at least double the price of other appliances.

However, if you actually USE any appliance, black, white, stainless steel, fake stainless steel (oh yeah they have it too), it's going to be a pain to clean because lets face it, cooking and the kitchen is dirty.
So you'll never "win" the cleaning battle.

I always find it so funny when I watch MTV Cribs and all the celebrities kitchen appliances are glistening because it's so obvious they don't use it.

Anyways I hope you actually are a person that uses your kitchen because you have some great stuff! ENJOY!

RE: My appliances!

Love Love Love the stove, I want a gas stove sooo bad, but when we bought our house last summer it had brand new appliances so my FH wouldn't let me upgrade, he said I couldn't cause they were new already!
