Is it the attachments? Suction? Etc.?

I don't have any pets, but my own hair tends to be difficult to vacuum sometimes. (It's VERY curly and likes to cling to the carpets.)

RE: Dyson

My Dyson Review: Get one. You will love it. And it might make you want to throw up a bit in your mouth the first time you use it, but thats a good thing. I have the DC15 i think it is. the big ball one for animals. The first time i used it i filled the thing with cat hair. It was 2 weeks after having vacuumed with the old vacuum and my place was only 400 sq. ft. I had enough cat hair to build another cat. it was gross that my old vacuum could leave that much behind.

Another Bonus of the vacuum is that FH does not need to wear a ventilator mask when I/He Vacuum. He has Asthma really bad and would get attacks when vacuuming, or if i vacuumed within an hour or two of him coming home. even with the air purifier on and windows open. The Air coming out is cleaner than the air going in.

The Down Side: and I only have 1 complaint on the whole thing, its the cord/hose. You have to unwrap all the cord to get the hose off to use it. Now I have moved and have alot of hardwoods i want the hose more than the floor tool and its a pain to have to do it back up all the time.

Short story: the Dyson Sucks. and it sucks very good! things gravitate towards it!

RE: Dyson

We have the Dyson DC14 pet vacuum (the upright) and it is hands-down the BEST vaccum ever! Worth every penny. It keeps up with my crazy shedding doodle.

RE: Dyson

We have one. I can't remember the model - an upright. LOVE it! We had a $500 gift certificate from my staff and a $150 gift cert from a shower (both for our baby) so we bought something we'd use for a long time AND it will benefit the baby having a clean dust free house.

WE have a bernese mountain dog as well so we have lots of hair too. I didn't even know there was one specifically for animals - ours isn't that one but it works just as well.

RE: Dyson
BellzBride (5/25/2008)

Summer07 (5/25/2008)

wickedgrl (5/24/2008)
Dyson DC14 Animal

AMAZING. I absolutely LOVE it. I can't rave enough about it. It's the best vacuum I've ever owned - hands down. I've had a couple different central vacuuming systems over the years and I actually prefer my Dyson. Our home is all hardwood flooring with a few area rugs. The first time I vacuumed our living room I filled the entire canister, from one small area rug and we are regular with vacuuming!!! I couldn't believe it. I save time vacuuming with my Dyson because I never have to go over an area more than once. We have a cat and 2 bunnies and the Dyson picks up everything.

I know they can be pricey so it took a while to talk FH into it... but it's definitely worth it! We ended up getting ours at Sears with some Sears club points and a scratch and save... we ended up saving about $100 which was a big help.

RE: Dyson

Thanks for the review so far ladies!

I don't have anyh pets, but I've seen one of the models in action at a friends house (she owns a cat). After reading so many positive reviews I think I'll have to go to the store and check them out! :D

RE: Dyson
Summer07 (5/25/2008)

wickedgrl (5/24/2008)
Dyson DC14 Animal

AMAZING.
