So after the long search I finally found her! The store I got it from just opened a few months ago and decided that they didn't want to carry this line of dresses anymore so they were selling them off! I got it for right in my budget, and saved the taxes! It is now at the bridal store waiting to be altered and for the big day!

White dress & ivory linnens?

Hi everyone! So i've always planned on wearing a white wedding dress (not ivory or diamond white, but white). Now here's the thing.... for my ceremony, I will have white linnens (chuppa, aisle runner, etc). However, for the reception, my colours are choc. brown, ivory, and pink, so my linnens will (mainly) be ivory with choc. brown accents, and a punch of the pink will be in the centre peices. Will it look weird if my dress is a stark white with all the ivory in the decore? Thanks in advance ladies :)

i was so afraid to order my dress online but i bit the bullet and went ahead. First I went to the bridal shops and tried on dresses and when I found "the one" I went on their website. The ridal store wanted 1000 dollars for my dress and i got it on bestbridalprices.com and It was 618.00 with free shoes or veil AND free shipping, they send it as a gift too so you dont pay duties just the tax and brokerage fee, with was 59.00......... HUGE Savings, I highly recommend them, and they are quick!! I ordered my dress at the end of febuary!! I will be posting pics soon!

So, I want to try these out... I have a lovely strapless grey dress, that is super cute, but would look better if I were a bit sleeker underneath, lol. I checked the website and they only sell them online, or in TO. Is there a comparable product that I could go try on? Like at the Bay or La Senza or something?
I just don't want to buy something and have it not be the same quality.

Ladies, Here is the # 1 tip have learned when planning my wedding. Save $$ on our bridesmaid dresses by buying on-line... go to the stores, find the designer, try it on and figure out your size.... and then buy it on-line!!! my girls saved between 100-150 on each dress. We bought them all from house of brides... all the dresse are in US $$$ and are way cheeper then buying them from here...ship them all together and save on the freight.. even with the dutie of $ 40.00 it is still WAY cheeper!!

Hi ladies...

My church requires that I have my shoulders covered during the wedding ceremony. Problem is, I am wearing a strapless gown. I do recall a crystal bolero on here recently which is something along the lines of what I am looking for. I am hoping for some suggestions- I would really appreciate your help- Thanks a bunch!

So after pestering my bridal store for the last 2 weeks about whether or not my dress was in I finally got the call. Dress was late by 2 wks btw. Unfortunately my mum's digital camera is broken but she had and regular cam on her. So I'm waiting for those pics so I can scan them.. But here's a pic of me in the demo dress which was like 100x's to big for me and I have a really really stupid grin on my face.

I got the call last week and had the chance to go and see my dress this weekend...I loved her as much this time as when I first saw her.
Still need some alterations in the straps but I had to post out of excitement.

So I bought my dress back in July 2007. I loved it when I first put it on, but then I started seeing other dresses and was second guessing my choice. Well I have lost 15 or so pounds since I first tried it on and I still LOVE IT! It looks even better now! Only thing is because I have lost weight I need to get it altered now, but not too much! Tell me what you think :)

The poll probably won't cover all the fashion options, but I am curious! You don't see many pictures of the grooms on this board...

My fiance will be wearing an Armani suit he got for graduation and has never worn. He will just wear a regular tie with it. On the other hand, his rich uncle will be wearing a dinner suit, my father has requested that I hire him a dinner suit, and I have no idea what my father-in-law or the best man will be wearing. I'm a bit nervous that it's so hodge-podge, but I guess it's good that everyone will be wearing what they're comfortable in........ right??! :unsure:

So I am not really looking forward to looking at wedding dresses. I guess because I get SOOOO indimated by these stores that they frankly scare me to death. I am a little bigger of a girl and I know that all these dresses arent going to fit me. Does anyone have any advice for me!!!

So I am wearing hot pink make-up on my wedding day, and thought I would buy shoes to match!! So I found these today for $30! I am not sure how to tie them though...do you like them better laced up the leg, or around the ankle? I also think I may replace the ribbon with a white satin one...?

Hi Ladies! Here is me in the sample dress! It's making me look quite wide since it's not done up haha and i have to hold my arms funny to hold it.

Mine will have an ivory sash instead of teal :) There's a lace overlay with beading on it too. Can't wait to have it in my size!

Hi Everyone, just wanted to share.

I went for my first fitting on Saturday and love my dress. Can't wait to try it on again after all of the alterations & steamed. It is to big, so you can see the pins for alterations but, ..... I got an idea on what it will look like... Just need to find the perfect necklace.

At the wedding I plan to wear the train long. The back is shown tied up like it will be at the dance. I'm getting excited!!!

So after many months of looking for a flower girl dress, I took one of my three flower girls with me to try some on yesturday. We both fell in love with this one.....

It's the disney collection by kirsty kelly- cinderella.

it takes 14 weeks to order in so were kind of cutting it close - I'm going to take the other 2 flower girls this week to try it on for sizing.

We bought it in light ivory and she looked so adorable!!!

I am up in arms as I think I have found my dress but feel my maid of honour and maybe my mother in law would be upset with me. Would you just take them both there and have them look at some dresses on you?? (keep in mind my mother in law is opionated and my mind is pretty much made up on my dress).

I just stumbled across this website. I think its a great idea. Not only do you get to donate to a great charity but you also get a tax receipt for your gown. All they ask for is a $12 donation with your gown to cover the expenses of selling it. They sell the gowns via organized sales at convention centres, etc.

I went to try on my dress for the first time... I was so nervous that I would hate it!! As some of you might know, from a previous thread, that I really didn't like my dress anymore and I went out and bought another one. That dress hasn't arrived yet... After trying on my first dress, I still don't feel its the "one". My little sister kept telling me it was too plain...

Anyway here are the photos:

SOOOO yeah. my dresss most def did not make me feel like a bride. I will post pics of the second dress when it comes... she said she would be shipping on monday.

Comfy Shoes

I have my engagement party coming up, as well as some other weddings this year, and I want to find a nice, comfy pair of shoes that won't give me blisters by the end of the night!

I am only 5 feet tall so I'm looking to wear heels as opposed to those ballerina flats. I also don't want to order stuff online cause I don't always trust sizing. So I'm looking for a store in Toronto.

Thanks for any input/advice :)

I have also used that Band-Aid stuff to prevent blisters and that helps sometimes.
