I am not wearing nylons even though my wedding is late September. My dress has a long corset that should suck everything in.

I hate wearing nylons, but I also hate going barefoot in a shoe, so I'm kind of stuck!

I know exactly what you're talking about - I've used different things over the years, including mens underwear and long shorts-type undergarments (in both cotton and slip-type material). It might be worth looking into some spanx, if you'd like something that sucks you in.[/quote]

I have that problem too especially when it's hot out. I wore spanx that came up to just under my bust line and it was FANTASTIC!! Kept everything in place and I didn't have the chafing problem at all. In fact I didn't even notice the spanx. The ones I had even have a convenient "hole" for going to the washroom. Sorry TMI:blush:

But to answer the original question I never considered wearing Nylons - they always fall down and get hot and itchy:(

Ditto - I got married on a cold and rainy day in October, and didn't even consider wearing them - I was glad for a cooler day, since the dress was so warm to begin with.

I'll be wearing thigh highs. They give you a little room to "breathe", they're sexy, and I felt like I needed something because I'm wearing closed-toed shoes.

Just a question to the OP ... it may be a formal event, but who will see your legs?!?! :) No one! :) Honestly, try on pantyhose and walk around outside for 10 minutes .... you'll quickly change your mind .... the dresses are hot enough underneath ... you definitely don't need anything to add to that! :)

My shoes sort of tie up the leg a bit so I definately won't be wearing pantyhose ... probably wouldn't anyway:P

Thanks for posting this - I was thinking about the same thing! I cannot wear closed shoes with out stockings so the shoe decision kinda depends on the stocking decision!

Bare legs for sure. Both me and FH hate panty hose. Heehee he actually made a request and I'm getting married in sticky hot August so I am totally going to oblige!

I wore knee highs (I never go without some kind of pantyhose at formal occasions), but when the guys wanted the garter it was a bit embarrassing...

I didn't wear pantyhose on my wedding day. I got married in July but even if I got married in a colder time of year I wouldn't. I can't stand them. Plus no one will see your legs.

I may do thigh highs, but will probably go bare legs, way cooler, plus that way you can wear strappy sandals without stocking toes.

i'm prob going bare legs... no one really sees your legs anyways. I am getting married in September so it might depend on the weather. if anything, i'll prob get those stay ups/thigh highs.. I couldn't imagine trying to go pee with a big dress wrapped around me AND trying to frig around with panty hose!!

Nope, I'm not wearing any. I think perhaps it depends when your getting married. I'm in June so it will be too hot and sticky. And I don't like them on a regular day anyways, but it comes down to personal preference. Keep in mind, you may need a second pair in case you get a run or tear....one more thing to worry about

As I was trying my dress on today for the 500th time it hit me..... am I supposed to be wearing panty hose under my dress? I think I prefer bare legs but seeing as this is a formal event would it be a huge faux if I did that? What is everyone else doing?
