there's lots of ways to add colour!

swap out the ties

bright shoes and accessories

have the beading swapped from white to coloured

you could add a coloured layer of chiffon under your top layer of chiffon...so it looks like the original dress still.....

get it professionally dyed

wear a coloured veil

lots of flowers!

I plan on wearing a red dress.

Red is just too beautiful not to wear on my day!

This is the dress I want (but have yet to find) "Lana" by Maggie Sottero

My only concern with a red wedding gown is that it will look like a "glorified" prom dress...

You could switch out the ties for a cool ribbon, and maybe add the same ribbon as a trim or a sash.

Or you could get someone to proffesionally dye it.

well since I'm doing a handfasting I am going with a Irish wedding dress [img]http://celticpagan.com/images/clothing/IWDress.jpg[/img] except my is going to be blue under and cream over and it's going to have a silver/copper celtic besties edging :hehe:

Ended up getting a dress off of ebay (hope it fits).

Like the fact that the back is laced up I should be able to loosen or tighten as needed.

Now I have to descide on what to wear in my hair

I bought a Celery green Jenny Yoo dress. I tried the same dress on in ivory, but it just didn't look the same. My mom said my face sorta crumpled. I tried on other dresses in white, just to be sure, but they just weren't my thing.

I saw this dress and absolutely fell in love with it. What can I say; THE dress is THE dress, no matter what colour it is.

I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do yet, I'm bouncing between a blue dress, a white dress, or a red dress, and it might be just below the knee, I'm not quite sure yet, but I'm either going to buy it from a plus sized store, or have it custom made. I would love to have a corset and skirt, but I can't wear corsets :(

Either way though, I'm going to be wearing wings too lol

Anyway, this place has alot of untraditional dresses for inspiration. http://www.offbeatbride.com they also have a forum, which has a huge thread of untraditional dresses.
