I take mine off to shower/ do dishes/ gardening, but it is on my finger every other second of the day. I love it!:D

I am very rough on my jewellry, which is why I only buy costume jewellry from street vendors, so I'm extra cautious. I don't wear it when I'm sleeping, working out, showering, cleaning, or doing anything that will mess up my ring. I leave it the ring box when I don't wear it so I'll never lose it.

I take mine off to sleep, shower and wash dishes...if I"m doing dishes at a friend's place I'll keep it on though...just in case.

I don't think it's bad luck at all to take it off :D

I didn't get a ring with the proposal but I didn't want one really bad either. It's just that everybody else has one I feel left out but I'm not a big jewelry person and I'm afraid it would be a waste of money to have the ring lying around in a drawer. Also, with my nickel allergy, I have to be more careful when choosing rings.

Bottom line: don't have a ring and I don't have to worry about losing it lol

I'm like Claudia - I don't usually wear it around the house. Actually, both DH and I take our rings off when we get home... we joke that this is a big ruse, that we're really only "married" when we leave the house!

Last night I took my ring off before bed... figured I could make that a routine...and while lying in bed I was thinking and thinking and thinking.... couldn't fall asleep... I put it back on and passed out! :)

I only take mine off if I'm doing any sort of cleaning that involves a heavier chemical, otherwise, it stays put where I won't lose it!

I take my ering off when I am sleeping, showering and cleaning. Otherwise it is always on!

I was expecting a ring when FH proposed. I didn't care what it looked like as long as he picked it out.

FH hates me taking it off... I used to take it off to shower or clean, but if he sees in sitting there he tends to take it and tell me not to take it off... so the only time I really ever take it off now is when I bake.... cause I don't want gunk in it!

I have mine on and off a lot. I take it off for work as I make pies and pastry and that is a bugger to get out if a ring. My e ring is actually a wedding band with 5 smaller diamonds in it I didnt want a biggie. Mostly I wear it for everything accept when the boys were little, it leaves a mean scratch and changing diapers is not fun when you scratch them lol.

I take mine off while cleaning and showering. Just to be safe. I have a ring holder so I know where it is if its not on my finger!

I accepted a proposal with no ring! In fact, I asked for no engagement ring. I have an eternity band for a wedding band, and a solid band from our first anniversary. That's fine with me. I am not a jewellery person, really, so the solitaire thing was just not "me". It was funny being engaged with no ring though - LOL. Everytime I mentioned the wedding, I could see people's eyes go straight to that empty finger. It was pretty funny to see their expressions.

I wear mine pretty much all of the time - but I've always worn rings (since 12 yrs old), so I'm used to something on my fingers - If I forget to put it on my finger feels naked!

I wear mine ALL the time. The only time I don't is when I'm working days and the administrators are in. I'm a nurse so they don't like us wearing rings. But other than that I wear it in the shower, while I'm sleeping and yes the odd time that I do dishes. I would be lost without it. I can't stop looking at it and I've had it for 9 months already.

I take mine off when I go to bed and put it back on after my morning shower. It's part of my routine.

I leave it on for dished and housework (OMG I even left it on to paint :w00t:) which is weird because I take it off at work every single day when I put my hand lotion on................

Wow...I ALWAYS wear my ring!! I think I've taken it off twice (and 1 of those times was for the jeweller to clean it, when we went in to order our wedding bands!!)

I made sure that I got a ring that didn't stick up too much, or that would get in the way (or poke my eye out, while I'm sleeping!!;)), b/c I want to always wear it!!

The only time I don't wear my e-ring is if I'm touching meats or taking a shower. I don't garden and FH does the dishes (I cook, he can clean the dishes!) so I have no other reason to take it off. Although I will be starting to swim again soon, so It will be the ever pressing debate on whether I wear it in the water... I think I will probably not wear it when I'm working out either. I'm going to start a work out regimine with our Bestman (Not really a man, she's just FH's best friend and we wouldn't have it any other way) so now that I really think about it I wouldn't want to wear it then either....

i wear mine all the time - it's an anniversary band ( more my taste). i was worried about it when i first got it and took it off when doing dishes and sleeping and stuff, but left it on the kitchen window sill one night (i'm sooo forgetful) and fh found it and hid it on me - the fool!! so now i wear it all the time. he says he got it for me to wear, so i wear it!

I take mine off when I shower/bathe, sleep and do dishes and cleaning. If I ever go back to active bedside nursing I'll have to take it off then too-my rock would hurt someone.

I wear it all the time, but now I've been taking it off while I sleep because my fingers swell up and the ring gets so tight on my finger in the morning! I hate that!!

Thanks for your responses ladies. I was curious as I find I have mine off when at home and doing messy stuff. I hate the thought of getting raw meat stuck under the diamonds...YUCK! I also will have a semieternity band as my wedding ring so I don't know if the same would apply as the diamond sit a lot lower and though my ering is not a solitaire I still take it off. My mom freaks when she sees me without it on.

Continuation - How important is having an ering to you? Would you have excepted a proposal without a ring???

The diamond on mine is very high up so I remove it when I am doing housework so I can wear gloves without the ring putting a hole in the gloves..hahaha!
