My FH and I did make our rings at a workshop at the Devil's Workshop. Ours cost a tiny bit more (especially the materials -- the price of gold is through the roof right now!) but was so worth it. Our rings are stunning, and totally unique, and we had so much fun making them!

Make Your Own Wedding Bands!

Hey guys - I'm not too sure if anyone on here still remembers me or not. I know I found this site very helpful when I was planning. It seems so many of the girls who got married around the same time as me are having babies now.

I just wanted to post because I just noticed that the girl who made the rings for DH and I (in 2004) has just opened her own Gallery and Workshop in Toronto. Apparently she offers classes on making your own wedding bands (wish she did that 2 years ago). I just thought it was a really great idea for those of you who are still looking.

It's a one day course and it seems reasonably cheap to me ($125 per person or $225 per couple - plus materials approx. $10-150).

Gosh it just seems so romantic.

Anyhow, she also does wedding jewellery workshops (for just the bride or bride & bridesmaids) so you can custom make your own accessories. I probably would have done that as well as it would have made for a fun girlie night out!

Hmmm. I wonder if she does baby related items. Maybe I could make a special memento for my little one?

Here's a link to her website with more info... http://thedevilsworkshop.ca/

BG

I'll post this in the planning section as well :)
