I already wear two rings on my right hand, a ring my parents gave me for my 16th birthday and a ring a hand made out of my grandparent's wedding bands (we had them melted down and my sister and I each got a ring made). So mine is pretty much banished to life in a box.

RE: Promise ring
Belram (6/7/2008)
I am thinking of having mine resized and giving it to the daughter I am gaining, or making it into a pendant for her to wear because my promise ring is yellow gold and my E-ring is white gold. I was thinking of doing something like that for my son in the future. Mabye I will give him my engagment ring, (when I get one) when he's older and wants to propose to some lucky girl.

RE: Promise ring

my promise ring is on my right hand. I want to have it resized but haven't gotten around to it yet. I love the idea of giving it to my daughter- maybe I'll do that. I mean, she isn't even born yet, but it's a nice thought...maybe when she is older- I'll wear it until then. :)

RE: Promise ring

We bought each other promise rings and we are having them re-sized, re-dipped in rhodium and buffed. We plan on wearing these rings as wedding bands whenever we travel or are somewhere we do not want the possibility of our good rings being damaged (like camping, honeymoon, beach, etc).

RE: Promise ring
Belram (6/7/2008)
I am thinking of having mine resized and giving it to the daughter I am gaining, or making it into a pendant for her to wear because my promise ring is yellow gold and my E-ring is white gold. It wasn't expensive but it was so pretty and it was from HIM. It was lost over the years as I gained weight and couldn't wear it anymore and then it went missing. :( You girls who still have yours are so lucky!

RE: Promise ring

I am thinking of having mine resized and giving it to the daughter I am gaining, or making it into a pendant for her to wear because my promise ring is yellow gold and my E-ring is white gold. Not a "set" but that look good together. I love my promise ring, and I don't want to stop wearing it.
This is almost identical to my ring, mine is a bit smaller because I don't like the big stones (looks silly on my skinny fingers)

RE: Promise ring

I personally don't have a promise ring, but I know a lot of the girls on here have said that they just wear it as a right-hand ring just the way you have.

I know one of my friends has also worn it on a chain as a necklace, and it's symbolic because it's close to her heart. :)

I don't think there is a "proper" place to wear it. It's whatever means most to you!

Promise ring

After you get engaged, where does your promise ring go?
