We are going to be married there and neither of us are planning on taking our wedding bands down. I will just get a cheap $20 imitation ring as I have seen some that come in sets at a store nearby for around that price that look real. I just think personally it is better to be safe than sorry especially in our case since we are always loosing stuff :hehe:

RE: Honeymoon Bands!

I love the idea!!! I understand the poster who said that she has been down south and nothing has happened but I have had some personal experiences where my mother has had both her wedding and ering stolen and my stepfather did loose his ring in the beach when I was a child. I simply do not want this happening to me with my rings. Having a honeymoon band makes perfect sense to me and I know that not everyone will feel the same but it is a good idea for some and by the sounds of it, my idea is one that other brides willl adopt. I am not saying that you should or shouldn't get them, just sharing what I am doing. I have taken SO many great ideas from these boards that when I have ONE...I have to pass it along..they are few and far between...LOL.

Take care and best of luck with your planning and your rings!!

JJF :w00t:

RE: Honeymoon Bands!

Good idea and nice rings Jil!

RE: Honeymoon Bands!

what a great idea!!!! the rings are pretty!!!

RE: Honeymoon Bands!

that is a great idea jjf! If it is properly sized it should not fall off. The rooms safe is safe enough to place your rings in it if you plan on swimming in the pools or the ocean. I swam in both with my e-ring and still nothing. I dunno why people are worrying about this so much. The plan is to leave my ering and wedding band (which is a semi-eternity diamond band) with FH's parent while on my honeymoon. This way if we loose the honeymoon bands, I will not freak out. FH's ring is extra special as he will be wearing my deceased father's wedding band which I cannot bear the though of loosing...insurance does not cover sentimentality. Luckily, I found exactly what I was looking for yesterday. My ring is white gold 10K from Peoples on Clearance...YES..clearance so it was 40% off. FH's ring is sterling silver, apparently very "IN" right now and also a ring that I could see him wearing after the wedding and he could actually wear it with his wedding band. The pics are not the best, free gift with purchase digital camera, what can I expect but you will get the idea. Thanks for checkin them out!

JJF :w00t:
