The jeweler actually told us yesterday that HE HAS NO IDEA WHERE IT IS! I can't believe how crappy the service is there. We are going to try and get a full refund, but I know he is going to give us trouble. Also, it sucks because even if we get a refund, we still have to go through the ordering process again somewhere else.

RE: FH's ring is already almost 2 months late!

Sorry to hear that! I would be seriously upset and would not pay the full amount. They should seriously be giving you a discount on the ring not just a loaner. Try not to let it bum you out and have a fantastic wedding!

RE: FH's ring is already almost 2 months late!

Aaawww, that sucks :( I'm sorry to hear that.

I think you should definitely get a discount.

RE: FH's ring is already almost 2 months late!

So, it is now certain that FH will not have his ring before we leave. The store is giving him one to borrow, but we really would have rather had his ring :(

RE: FH's ring is already almost 2 months late!
Rikke (4/15/2008)
That sucks :( If you haven't paid in full already, I think it would be reasonable to ask for a small discount - say 15%.
When ordering our bands, the jewellers asked when our wedding date is and I said "we need them by October 1st". My DH was so p-o'd and said "Why would I believe that you could do that when you have had X number of weeks to do it?? Just give me my $ back". The guy refunded the 50% deposit in full and we used another ring DH already had. That was 7 months ago and he still doesn't have a wedding band :P

We were disappointed but in the end, that was the only hang-up in our wonderful wedding. We were told both of them would be ready on Feb.28th. They even took my engagement ring for a few weeks to match my band. I called them to get my e-ring back and they told me my ring was in Toronto! We used a private jeweler in Medicine hat, and he never even mentioned he was sending the ring out of the city. I ended up getting my ring back a week late with my w band. Everytime FH calls them they make it seem like heis being unreasonable for wanting his ring. Its already been 7 weeks past the promised date. The jeweler said he hopes its here by Friday. He doesn't even seem to care that we may have to go to our wedding in the Bahamas with no wedding ring! Has anyone had a problem like this before? Should we get a discount or something?
