I have a promise ring that's a size 7 that is tight, and so I assumed that I was a 7.5, but the reason it's tight is because it's so wide! But since my wedding band is really wide (7 mm) and really thick (I don't remember if it's 2 mm or 1.5 mm) I've ordered it in size 4 3/4. Boy was I wrong! Because it is loose and heavy at the same time it is falling off all the time when I'm wearing it. And unfortunately it is not resizable. So I'm rarely ever wearing it.

It is funny that some of you say that stores only carry small sized rings. When I was ring shopping most of the stores had their rings in size 7, and I have found only one ring in size 4 1/2. Since it was also in the style I initially was looking for, now I regret I haven't bought it then, oh well. It was too out of our price range.

RE: What size is your ring finger?
pook2355 (5/7/2008)

BrandyG (5/6/2008)

pook2355 (5/6/2008)

chulie (5/6/2008)

BrandyG (5/5/2008)
Holy crud, my mom has been swearing for years that I have tiny fingers, and that why the heck do jewelery stores carry such tiny rings?
I'm a 7.5

Fh is a 13
actually the average ring sample size in a store is about a 7....at peoples anyways......i know this because i am a 7 and can try on any of their sample rings perfectly!!!! its the only store i fit their "sample size" cause i sure dont fit wedding dress sample sizes! hahahaha...
I'm nervous to go try on wedding dresses just because of that! Im a 4.5 and I dont think I am a super tiny person. My best friend is the same height as me and she is thinner than I am and she is a size 7 and she her fingers dont look obviously bigger than mine. My rings dont fit her, but when u look at her hands they dont look much bigger than mine. I think its really about the size of your bones in general. It doesnt mean that people with bigger ring sizes have more fat on their fingers, its just a slight difference in bone size.

RE: What size is your ring finger?

Im a 7.25.
