Im a size 7... I thought that was average. But based on the girls here it seems large :)

FH liked that i was a size 7, when he bought the ring from the store it fit me perfectly lol :P

7-7.5. it depends on the time of day and what i have been doing. i have rings now that are 7 and they are a little tight at the end of a work day but just fine on non work days and in the morning.

Eek, I almost had a little bit of a ring crisis. I have a promise ring that's a size 7 that is tight, and so I assumed that I was a 7.5, but the reason it's tight is because it's so wide! If he had gotten my tiny little engagment ring in a 7.5 it would fall off lol.

I just hope he remembers my size now, because I've told him 2 different sizes.

I'm anywhere from a size 3 - 3.5 I have very long delicate fingers aka. piano fingers (i guess that's a good thing since i've played the piano since i was 4y/o). As for how tiny I am... i'm faily petite. I'm 5.1, size 3-4 and weigh about 110lbs. I only come up to just under my FH shoulders. He's nearly 6'......

I guess i have huge hands! mine is sized at a roomy 9.5. so something like a 9.75...and I dont even have sausage fingers! just long big hands!! oh my god i have man hands!

I've been measured size 4 1/4. But since my wedding band is really wide (7 mm) and really thick (I don't remember if it's 2 mm or 1.5 mm) I've ordered it in size 4 3/4. Boy was I wrong! Because it is loose and heavy at the same time it is falling off all the time when I'm wearing it. And unfortunately it is not resizable. So I'm rarely ever wearing it.

It is funny that some of you say that stores only carry small sized rings. When I was ring shopping most of the stores had their rings in size 7, and I have found only one ring in size 4 1/2. Since it was also in the style I initially was looking for, now I regret I haven't bought it then, oh well. It was too out of our price range.

actually the average ring sample size in a store is about a 7....at peoples anyways......i know this because i am a 7 and can try on any of their sample rings perfectly!!!! its the only store i fit their "sample size" cause i sure dont fit wedding dress sample sizes! hahahaha...[/quote]

I heard somewhere the other day that the average woman in north america is 5'4 and a size 12-14. And yet 14 is considered plus size! INSANE![/quote]

I know what you're saying, I know I shouldn't feel like I'm big, but when I look around, I am! Two years ago when I was a 12 I was a plus sized model in a fashion show. I felt great when they asked me to be in it but that definitely changed when I realized what I was going to be! Maybe I will just make all my own clothes from now on so I don't have a size...lol

Its funny because...i know im not small...but im not warped enough to think im very large...im about a 12...so im average..and thats how i feel..average......so it was a real eye opener when i would call a store and asked if they carried sample size 14 and this one store said....yes...we do carry some plus size dresses....oooookkkkaaaayy!!hahahaha

I started off with my e-ring being 6

added the wedding ring and had them soldered.. had to go to 6.25

added the anniversary ring and had them soldered.. had to go to 6.50

apparantly adding each one they had to increase the size of the ring..

I love my bing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some times it tight and some times its looser.. depends on what time of the month it is.. if its hot or cold out.. whether I have had a touch too much salt..

Now if I were to ask how big are the girls with the 7+ rings, quite a few mouths would drop right?? :w00t: I know I'm going off on a tangent here, but it's interesting how you can ask someone how small they are and it's not a big deal, but it seems a bit offside to ask the opposite.. Honestly, ring size doesn't always reflect body size :S

I really dont think there is such a noticable difference in ring finger sizes. Im a 4.5 and I dont think I am a super tiny person. My best friend is the same height as me and she is thinner than I am and she is a size 7 and she her fingers dont look obviously bigger than mine. My rings dont fit her, but when u look at her hands they dont look much bigger than mine. I think its really about the size of your bones in general. It doesnt mean that people with bigger ring sizes have more fat on their fingers, its just a slight difference in bone size.

And for all of you ladies with fingers bigger then 7s, I think we should open our own ring store where the samples are at least 8s! I hate going to stores because I always have to put the ring on my pinky finger and that just doens't give the same effect!

I'm an 8...thought for sure as I began reading through the posts that I was wearing perhaps the largest ering any jewellery store had ever made up...maybe my ring was a very pretty men's ring???...but thankfully not....:w00t:

My ring twirls a bit, but as my knuckles are so big, I can't get a size smaller. I hate my man-hands, but eh! What can you about your hand size, right? I think that they're probably the only thing on your body that you are truly stuck with, just as they are!!!

Its the same for us with small fingers too though - it's hard to picture what a size 7 band is going to look like/ fit with your e-ring.. you really can't win unless you're a 7.. lol

I got so upset when I went to try on rings cause none of the sample sizes fit me, they were all too small. It sucks cause you really don't get a good feel for what it looks like on you.

Wow! I've never seen so many people with ring size fingers under 7!!! I always had people tell me my fingers were so thin and long and beautiful when mine was a 7! And here you all are with 4s and 3s! ha ha!

I think my rings right now are either an 8 or 8.5 or 8.25 - I'm not sure. DH got it resized as far as they would go. I've unfortunately gained a bit of weight since we got engaged :(

I miss my svelt fingers :D Though a lot of my friends still can't get my rings on, so I won't feel bad :)

Maybe where you live, but every store in the mall where I live, and there were like 7 of them, including a peoples, I never found anything over a 5 or 6, unless it was a mans ring. Maybe different styles have different sizes, but nothing I tried on fit. One store had a ring in a size 8, but it wasn't something I liked, it was too thick.

when i started dress shopping i was a streeet size 14.....now im closer to a 12 but.....when i was a 14 i couldnt find anything........my advice..call ahead and ask what their sample sizes range from...that helped me A TON!

5.5 - it's the same as FH's pinky finger DIP joint (the joint closest to the finger nail). That's what he used to measure it and fits perfectly!
