I was feeling nauseous. I couldn't stand up without feeling dizzy. VERY scary. It lasted all morning. I somehow managed to make it to work and then they sent me right home. They said it sounded like heatstroke. It probably was. I had spent all sunday outside in the sun... trying to get a nice tan for my wedding dress. So yeah, the heat makes me nauseous too!

RE: Nausea and the weather..

Pook, you're definitely not alone in your problem. I get the same thing. I don't throw up as often, but I get extreme waves of nausea. Needless to say, Gravol, Pepto and Tums are my best friends during the summer months. LOL

Someone also mentioned that they get very tired and sluggish when it is gloomy or rainy and humid out, and I get that too.

My body hates extreme temperatures. I go completely wonky when it's either REALLY cold or REALLY hot.

In fact, this afternoon, I had an Iced capp, and I was good to go, and then all of the sudden, I felt so gross. I've also had a constant headache for the past 3 days, since it became so humid.

Stay inside and suck on ice cubes. Sounds weird, but it's so much more effective than just drinking water. Very soothing. Try it, you'll see what I mean!

RE: Nausea and the weather..
scraggles (6/6/2008)
I don't get sick with the weather, but when it is gloomy out I find I get really tired, I went to sleep at 9 last night and felt like I could have gone to bed at 7 today!
I totally have the same problem! I'm not a puker when I get nervous, but I have extreme anxiety and migranes. The humidity makes feel so weak and tired and triggers headaches for me.

RE: Nausea and the weather..

I don't get sick with the weather, but when it is gloomy out I find I get really tired, I went to sleep at 9 last night and felt like I could have gone to bed at 7 today!

RE: Nausea and the weather..

Glad to hear you at least have a/c. Last year I thought maybe I had developed a lactose intolerance because I hadn't had any dairy in so long but I've discovered that heat and humidity seem to bring it on. Its such a nasty feeling, the bus and subway in the morning are not cool when you feel like puking on someone's head haha

I'm going to try and do water and fruit since its worked for you and hopefully I'll lose a few pounds myself! Wahoo!

RE: Nausea and the weather..
crystal13 (6/6/2008)
I am exactly the same! Let me give you a little background...

I am, and always have been one of those pukey people (I'm sure many of you ladies with kids knows exactly what I'm talking about). Ever since I was born, look at me sideways and I'll puke. If I get excited, anxious, nervous...essentially any emotion, there is a strong possibility I'll be headed to the bathroom. Being sick does not bother me as I've had it as part of my life for the past 24 years but something new seems to be happening. Over the past year I've gotten alot better, maybe I'm growing out of it. I don't necessarily get sick when I'm feeling those emotions. Unfortunately, when the summer rolls around, in the mornings I am in rough shape. I first noticed it last year and my friend at work almost had me convinced I was pregnant. I was not, and still am not, but this week the feeling has returned with the rising humidity. Has anyone else ever had this or heard of it happening? I wake up around 530am and the feeling of puke being right there in my throat lasts until about 11am. I can't eat or drink even if I want to because I know it will not be good. Does anyone have any suggestions or tricks to make this stop?
