You can't start new threads and as a new member, there is NO WAY I am going to read through 40 pages of posts to hopefully find information I'm looking for! Perhaps they work well that way for other people, but I really couldn't get into them.[/quote]
what do you mean you can't start new threads? Yes you can.. You click Create New Topic at the top of the list of threads in each forum on the message boards. If you mean in a spark team you click on the links - General Team discussion, Introduce yourself or weekly challenge (wording may vary) and then click Create New Topic..

RE: SparkPeople

I've been on spark since 2007. I don't check the website as much as I did when I first signed up. There's different groups you can join according the goals you want with their own talkboards, you can set up a profile page, etc. I also get daily e-mails from them for recipes, workout tips and motivational articles to keep you going.

RE: SparkPeople

I joined sparkpeople in September and have lost 30lbs so far, with 14 more to go. It is overwhelming at first but if you set aside some time to surf the site I'm sure you'll like it. I use the nutrition tracker and fitness tracker the most.

RE: SparkPeople

I signed up over a year ago, and I hardly ever go there (too overwhelmed by life in general), but I remember thinking it was confusing at first. Like there was just TOO much information.

So I found a few key things I wanted to focus on (like my daily goals and weigh-ins and such) and I only went to those pages, for the most part.

I also signed up for the daily emails, so I get motivational messages, recipes, etc, in my inbox without having to navigate the site :)

RE: SparkPeople

Haha, I signed up for this too, but never use it. I think I've signed in twice since Christmas (and I've only managed to lose about 2 pounds since then...hmm...). But anyway, I receive the weekly email newsletters they send out and I enjoy reading those. You're right that the site is heavily loaded with features. It probably just takes some time to navigate around and become comfortable with it.

SparkPeople

I read about this website on here, I can't remember who posted it though. I just joined up but I am confused by the website. There seem to be tons of features, I'm just not sure how to use them all! If there's anyone else on here that's on there, I'd love to hear how you feel about the site!
