I love "together with our families" but my mom is help paying for the wedding (my dad has passed away and my mom is not remarried) and she wants her name and my dad's name on the invite. But my mom doesn't want to put "late" on the invite. This happened to my cousin a couple of years ago too, so she has passed along some suggestions. here is one that I really like.

That's what we did. 8 parents (both sets divorced and remarried) so there was no way it would all fit.

FH and I are hosting and I'm really glad (well I'd love financial help but it saves us invite trouble). His mom passed away when he was 10 and his dad remarried seven years ago. His dad married a woman (FHs stepmom) who's husband passed away around the same time. FMIL is very close to a mom for FH so can you imagine what the wording could be like?!

My father has passed, and my mom remarried. But since FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves, we just left parents off the invites all together.

First off who's hosting the wedding???

If it's your and your FH, then

Bride name (First and Middle) (add last name if diff from parents)
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith
and Grooms name
son of FMIL name (current last name) and the late Mr. (his dad's name)
Invite you to spend this special day with them (or something like that)

Or just skip saying that parents names at all

Brides name and Gooms' name
Invite you.............

But this is also because we are paying for the whole thing ourselves, so the parents are not hosting it , we are.

i just think sometimes in some cases its easier to put together with our families.. just think if all four parents were re-married how long the invitation would be

I just don't know how this is supposed to be worded. My fiance's father passed away and his mother is remarried. How do I include them all? Do I include them all?
