The bridal party and all out of town guests were invited. It was around 50ish people.

My Godparents hosted at DH and my house. Easier because we're closer to the church (walking distance). They ended up choosing a catered dinner buffet dinner (not the original plan of wine/beer/appetizers) but it was fantastic. A GREAT time all around and the leftovers were PERFECT to feed the ton of people in and out of our house in the days following the wedding.

RE: Rehersal Dinner

We had the rehersal at 5pm at the church then everyone made their way over to my dad & stepmom's house where they had made/brought in all my favourite nibbling foods! It was absolutely wonderful!

The bridal party, parents, family from away... all sitting and drinking wine and laughing and telling stories. It wasn't fancy, it wasn't expensive, but it was just right for us!

RE: Rehersal Dinner

we are having the rehearsal the week before and we're going to cater in food -buffet style. As we are inviting everyone involved with the wedding(Wedding party, parents) and all of our out of town guests. Count me in as well! We are having our rehersal next week (the week before) since our officant will be flying home the day before our wedding. We have our hall all weekend as well so we are going out the day before (June 13th) to do all the decorating. Then we are going to my FH's parents house and having a BBQ. It will be very relaxing and allow us to visit before things get insane. All the boys are spending the night there (FH and his 2 brothers and the bestman and another groomsmen) and us girls are spending the night at our house. I think we'll be up being silly but I want to make sure to go to bed at a decent time!

15 days until the BIG day!!! :w00t::hehe:

RE: Rehersal Dinner

we're doing a bbq too. We're doing it night before b/c all my FH's brothers are shift workers, and work the weekend before, and my entire BP lives at least an hour and a half from the location of the wedding, so I figured it wasn't fair to ask them to come the week or weekend prior. We have our reception venue for the entire weekend, so we'll do the rehersal and then head over to the hall with basically FH's entire family (all 3 of his bros are groomsmen) and my entire family (sister is MOH and brother is an Usher) and the others in our WP and their significant others, and the people we've asked to do readings will be invited as well. Muahahaha THEN we have a lot of ppl just milling around that can help decorate :D

RE: Rehersal Dinner

We are planning on just having the Wedding Party over to my parents the night before the wedding for a BBQ after the rehearsal.

RE: Rehersal Dinner

wow, a lot of BBQs! Then after we're going over to FH aunts where she and FMIL are planning a BBQ. FMIL doesn't have alot of money so cant afford to pay for a resturant dinner, so we suggested a BBQ and then just have everyone bring a lil something like salad or desert.

Looks like FMIL wants to try for the BBQ befor the rehearsal though to try to avoid those nasty buggies that come out in the evening and because we're supposed to go decorate the hall afterwards. We'll see....

I'm so excited.

Rehersal Dinner

The in-laws have offered to pay for the rehersal dinner, which approx. 30 people. I can't get a lot of time off for the wedding and I have to work until at least 5:30 until the day before the wedding so we're having the dinner the weekend before and the church rehersal two days before.

Just curious what every did for their rehersal, where and when. FH and I prefer not to go to a restaurant.
