I was going to do a poll about this today!!

I've never really seen the significance in having both this Stag & Doe thingy AND showers and guy parties. I've never actually been to a Jack & Jill or whatever so I know I won't be having one.

Nope... bring on the male strippers and the martinis!!

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

We are having one! I am not having a bridal shower and we are doing this so we can have fun with our friends together. 1) I have 5 friends all getting married this summer and every single one of them is having a sit down lunch at a restaurant. I want to be different. 2) I really wanted to have all our friends included and not feel like they had to give us something. this way they fork out a bit to come and they can use their money as they please. With 5 weddings this summer we are all a little strapped.

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

We are not having one. Our friends are spread out (half up North and half around Toronto) and I want my BP to have to do as little work as needed. We also are engaged and married within six months and have three other weddings in the same time frame.

We may have a bash in our backyard and just have everyone over. Not really into the 'shell out cash' factor of a buck and doe...although I dont have a problem with people who have them.:)

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

We're having a stag n doe!! most of are friends are 1) mutual and 2) guys so it seems the best thing to do:D

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

although it would have been fun... we arn't having one. A few reasons: most of my Fh's friends live in B.C. and therefore wouldn't be able to come....hehe... so the party wouldn't be to big. Also, many women in my family say they are/or seem like a money grab... and considering the formality of our wedding and the events leading up to it.... we arn't having one. However, when everyone does arrive from B.C. i hope we have a big 'before the wedding party"! ~ Alli xoxo

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

we are going to having one... not MY choice but FH wants one...

we might put on two just because my family is way outta the way for his family... if we can have it in toronto (in the middle of the families) that would be perfect except where are they going to stay... our house can fit many people in it but not a lot.... and i do not want them drinkin and driving... sooo do not know...

RE: Jack n' Jill / Stag n' Doe

I'm begrudgingly having one...

I come from a small town and I'm Scottish ~ it's expected.
