FH and I want to get an old fashioned car for when we leave...and since elements of our wedding were inspired by things from two of my favourite movies "A Walk To Remember" and "The Notebook" we've decided to try and see if we can get some vintage clothing for our going away outfits. Something that looks similar to what Allie and Noah wear in the scene in the Notebook where they dance in the street. If we can find the clothes, then our last dance may be to "I'll Be Seeing You" by Billy Holiday and we will dance to it like Allie and Noah do. If we can't find it we may still dance to it or maybe a different song.

I always wanted Time of my life-Dirty Dancing and FH wanted a slow song...so we will slow dance to Sparks by Coldplay and then get down to Dirty dancing....Im trying to convince him to lift me...LOL

We are DEFINITELY using the same song....it was a no brainer...i probably knew the last song before the first!!hahaha...its perfect because its played at the end of the movie.....itll be played at the end of our wedding....and of course cause i LOVE dirty dancing......it was all too perfect...its the perfect last song to the perfect love story soo...why not make it the perfect ending to MY love story!!!![/quote]

OMG - This has been a huge debate for us. Bigger then our 1st danc song.

Our BF's played Stair Way to Heaven as they're last song 4 years ago and since then its been "a thing" in our circle of friends to have a killer last dance song. Its usually fun and whitty.

Recently a couple we know played "Wasn't that a party" by the Irish Rovers. Its going to be a tough one to beat we went through -

We didn't plan a last dance song, but the DJ played Thunderstruck by ACDC and it was perfect! It was just us and our closest friends left and we had a blast. I'll never forget it. Just before it the Dj played Wheat Kings by The Hip and we had a great big group slow dance. Another perfect moment.

Don't know if we are going to use it but we love Michael Buble "Save the Last dance" but I want a slower song so we are still undecided. Oh, "From this Moment On" by Shania we also like. I will have that at some point in the dance music for sure.

fh really didn't like the idea of anything by adam sandler, which is wierd since he is an adam sandler fan.
