I would not wear a used e-ring IF my FH had bought it for an ex-gf and then tried to give it to me. NO WAY!

I would wear a "used" e-ring if it was bought from an estate sale etc, provided I liked the diamond well enough .. but I would reset it.

I personally would reset the diamond. There is a difference between an estate ring and a ring from a divorce. I really do believe in Karma... even have a neice named Karma... so yeah... I wouldn't buy it... but as you can tell from this board... others would... you have nothing to lose from trying.

well my diamong is pre-owned....does that tell you?  I could care less....  i love it whether it's new or old...and most loose diamonds are pre-owned according to a few jewellers i have dealt with.

I wouldn't mind in the least! I think it's a little bit silly to think that just because someone else's relationship ended when they were wearing that ring, that yours will suffer the same fate...I dunno, I just think it's funny to believe that when the love between the two of us/ the two of you, is so strong.

I really like the look of antique rings....and who is to say that an antique/estate ring wasn't worn by a woman who had had a divorce, or who had a very unhappy marriage? It is easy to tell that a newer looking engagement ring had been worn by someone whose relationship didn't work out, but very difficult to tell if an estate ring had been.  IMHO, I think that a gorgeous ring is just a ring, no matter who wore it! (I love history! vintage clothing....collectibles.... and art...!!)

Of course, to each their own, and I do completely understand that some people just wish to have a brand new ring!!    I love spark-leeeees!!! hehehe

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think karma is something that is generated by your actions, and it can't be "absorbed" by things. A ring is just a ring and doesn't carry luck with it.

My sister and her fiance bought my sister's e-ring from a pawn shop - it is GORGEOUS! They already have two small children, and they don't have much money - he has his own painting company, and she stays at home with the children. So buying used was the only way they would be able to afford a really nice ring.

I don't think I'd ever want a "used ring" but a ring with a reset diamond in a new setting would work for me....if it was a great diamond worth resetting, lol.
