| Is it just me, or has the forum been lagging slow since they created this new look? I don't like it. I like the old version better. Anyone know why they keep changing the look?

| they didnt set out to change the look, persay .. but rather, it was an effort to upgrade the program and server. In doing so, the new program gave the forum a new look. Its not that bad. As for the lag/slowness ... that could be attributed to many things ... such as the use of tickers, animated gifs, jpegs etc. Also, peak periods where many users are online using the boards, also make the server slow, because it has to process more actions at the same time. Evenings are quieter with fewer ppl online and therefore, the boards run faster. Now, I'm no techie, but that would be my guess based on the things I've learned from the CB tech guys!

I've noticed the lag as well.. but it's usually mid day... no biggy.. I think it's because we're all here..

Mine doesn't lag too badly but your right... when it does lag it's midday. Also depends if I'm trying to look at a post with a lot of pics or not.
I personally love the new boards. The PM function took me a lil time to work out but the forums themselves are userfriendly.

I like the new PM system.. you can create folders for people.. and it pops up to tell you that you have a new message... it's just a pain when you're in the middle of writing something when it pops up.. loltalk about a lost train of thought!
