We fh and I are planning our destination wedding for just after Christmas 2007. We have decided on Punta Cana for the location but are having a really tough time picking a resort! Anyone know anything about the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro???? It is a 5* and looks beautiful but I would love to see pictures/reviews of people actually married there! Thanks!!!

| I think that is one of five resorts that are all connected (Bavaro Beach, Garden, Golf, etc...) If so, we went there for my brothers wedding and it was beautiful and the service was awesome!

| We leave for punta cana (Bahia) on Dec.2 2006 and are getting married on the 5th. It isn't part of the Barcelo group (however the barcelo group of hotels are amazing I have been before!) The Bahia seemed to have everything that FH and I were looking for. All night food and drink, disco, and 5*(I'm fairly picky). All I can tell you right now is that we got a group price for $1275 + taxes (so far there are 37 of us going), and the emails between me and the coordinator have been fantastic. Not much more to share with you and by the time I go you will probably have already picked your resort. Good luck, and just do your home work. I know someone who just got back from the Bahia and she loved it. Said there was a wedding every day and it was a beautiful resort.

| This is in the running for my fh and I. I emailed them a few questions, you can find their email address on either the website or the website of various tour operators. Also, a really good website is: http://www.debbiesdominicantravel.com/ I have been to the Bahia Principe in the Mayan and it was a beautiful resort. I have been to several all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico and my mother is a travel agent (I have very high standards) and it was amazing which I think reflects on the rest of the chain. | My FH and I are actually going to the Bahia Principe Punta Cana for our honeymoon, leaving on May 8th! I'm so excited...i've seen a million pictures and i'm sold! I will definitely post pictures when we get back (excluding the naughty pics that is  )

| Friends just came back from that exact hotel in March. They said it was all it says it is. The food was amazing, the night life fun and it is huge. The beach is outstanding. They didn't have a bad thing to say about the resort at all. If you want some inside tips on that resort go to www.tripadvisor.com put in the name of the resort in the search and read everyone's reviews. You'll find good info on resorts on that site.
