| I just needed to share my sadness. I dropped off my e-ring on February 28th because they needed it to match the wedding band we are having made for me. Still waiting.....I feel so naked.

It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom. To understand a mother's love, bear your own children. Mother is the name for God on the lips & in the hearts of little children. A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. | It's an awful feeling isn't it? if you have another ring, try wearing it - I know when my ring has gone in for work I have always felt much better wearing FH's high school ring (wore it for a while before my promise ring came along at his request). It fits me perfectly and i don't panic thinking I've lost my ring or something...hehehe...(I forget things easily sometimes...lol). Hopefully it won't take much longer and you'll get it back very soon!

| Thanks everyone. Those are great suggestions to wear another ring instead. Our rings are from Birks, and all of their custom work is done in Montreal, where as we are in Edmonton. So it takes sooooooooooo long because they have to send it to Montreal and then my ring gets in line behind all the other rings that they are working on. My e-ring's main stone is a sapphire, so they needed it to match the colour of the sapphire for the stones that are going to be in my wedding band. Apparently there isn't a colour code for gems other than diamonds, so the person needs to physically see my e-ring to match the stone colour. (there are sapphires in my wedding band too.) I called the store yesterday and the lady there told me that she has emailed them to find out an eta. Oh ring....do come back to me!
