We are getting married in a catholic church, the one that was with our church that we went to highschool with (it was the church that was with our catholic highschool).  Since we met through baseball, he played with my brother we are having our reception at a baseball diamond, where he first asked me out.  Since he grew up in the country, and we love the country we are doing a cowboy themed wedding, including a B-B-Q for the dinner (they are doing steak and chicken) with corn on the cob, coleslaw, and lots of other good things.  What do you think?

It only matters what you think but since you asked I would have to say that I think it is a unique idea. Now it is not what I would want but that is why every wedding is unique. Your wedding seems as though it would be a great reflection of your relationship.

I think if it is what you want then go for it. I learned early in my planning that you should plan the day for you and FH not for your guests....seeing as it will be your memory and most of them won't remember the details like you will.

I agree.  It also is not what I would choose, but it sounds like your decision has so much meaning behind it.  I think if you are happy with it, it doesn't matter what others think of it.  I applaud your uniqueness to sway away from the "traditional" wedding and to do something that will create more beautiful memories in the same places beautiful memories have already been made!

Fun fun!!  I love when weddings are memorable, rather than a cookie-cutter event.  Make sure you explain the relevance in your programs, people will be interested in why you shose to have your reception at a baseball field!
