I agree with diamondess, be honest about your desire for a great ering.......it's the one you will wear for the rest of your life and if you don't get it before the wedding, there could always be something that the money would be better spent on.

| You are not a shallow cow for wanting a bigger E-ring. My FH proposed to me with a sapphire ring that he had custom made because he wanted me to have something unique and special. I love the ring, but I had my heart set on having a simple emerald cut diamond solitaire. Three months after he proposed I told him how I felt and together we went and picked out a modest size diamond ring that we are going to use as my wedding band. I felt horrible asking for another ring,but FH understood and now I have 2 beautiful rings that I love. You need to tell your FH how you feel and let him know that you want another ring.
