Uh oh!! my sisters had to tell me about my surprise bridal shower... i have known all along but now there are some issues with the list of people who are invited...seems that only 45 can be invited since it will be held at my aunts house...the list is at an overwhelming 60! they showed me the list...everyone on it is close to me!! how do i even start cutting??? fh's family and friends are on there as well, i can't exactly cut them...i'm so stuck!! do i just say lets have it at a hall? or do i cut 15 people?

Why not just do it somewhere like a hall, or just have it outdoors, that way you're not all crammed into the house...

If all the people are close to you then I would look into a restaurant or hall, if that's okay with whoever is hosting the shower.  Its probably easier to have the shower out of the home as well, less stress and no mess.

Why not have two seperate showers then? One with your friends and family - and then another with your dh's family and friends. It will be a bit more work but then everyone can be invited (just a different times!)

you could always let your aunt host the shower at her house for the families (your and FH's side) and then maybe have a less formal friends shower a different night.  maybe do dinner or have a girls night out instead of a traditional shower.  sort of like a shower that turns into a bachelorette later in the night.  that could be a lot of fun.

My shower was originally going to be at my mom's house.  However I knew that it would be too much for any house to handle. Food, decorations....etc.  It would really all add up....

Why not try a restaurant, they can be cheaper for showers, and definitely hold more people.  I'm not sure where you are located but my friend had hers at the Match in woodbridge, for about 30 or 35$ a person.....

Is there a reason it has to be 45 people? Like, was your aunt planning on a sit down meal and that's all she has room for? because if so, I would suggest a buffet-style which can accomodate more people.

Alternatively, I would suggest a restaurant or small hall so that everyone can join you.
