If you do go to the doctor he may just do x-rays on you... thats what my doc did... and then found arthrits.... so he told me to go to the pharmacy and get some knee braces with metal straps in then... i think they are like 18 bucks each... makes a hell of a difference though... I can move around with little to no pain and I can run again... I also take tylonal arthritis pain... it works for all joint pain... and it works like magic! lol... hope that helps

| You sound just like me. I have had numerous problems with my joints to the point where I was in so much pain and had so much inflammation, I never thought I would walk down the aisle. I had a dozen tests done (at least) and although it has been almost a year since I got married, JUST got the results now. I AM COMPLETELY FINE APPARENTLY. But how? I would cry the pain would be so bad. The doctor suspected fibromyalgia, then said no. The I was tested for a genetic spine thing, and it turned out fine. In the end, I think my job (high school teacher so it was exam time) and getting married the weekend where I had to have report card marks in all caused a level of stress THAT MY BODY HAD NEVER SEEN. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT STRESS WAS THE CAUSE. I feel mostly fine now, but sometimes, when I start to get stressed again, and it gets to a certain level, my muscles start to spasm, and I feel inflammation in the muscles around my ribs. I did discover GLUCOSAMINE for my joints and it has made a world of difference for my knees (they crack every time I bend them). Hang in there, it can't be worse than what I went through. Hope you feel better, and remember to RELAX.

| Soccer is all about running, which is hard on your knees. And if you overextended your ligaments, maybe they aren't as strong now, which causes you the discomfort. I feel for you, Hun!

Poopies to my knees. That's it. lol. It might just be partly a stress thing... work is stressful and irritating... but if I'm 'relaxed'... things aren't too bad... at least from what i've noticed.. but it hurts my ankle and knee to wear heels... which blows.. i love my heels.. lol.. wonderful... i may just book an appointment with the doctor for this week.. i'll let you guys know what happens if i end up going.

| Okay this may sound really weird but both my mom and my grandma have bad knees so now they take calcium suppliments and they swear that it has made their knees hurt a lot less. My mom would often cry because her knees hurt so much and now she is only sore after really long days or stressful times. I would suggest going to the doctor but if they don't find anything then try and naturopath, they can be very helpful and you may end up feeling much better.

| you can get blood tests and x-rays to rule out arthritis. pateleofemoral syndrome with knees is pretty common, but usually that happens when you are in your teens and still growing. I had a lot of success with orthotics i have had joint pain and the doc told me to "take advil with every meal" and maybe try physio as the x-rays and blood tests showed nothing. that route accomplished nothing for me. Now I am doing a combination of chiropractic and massage therapy, with some success (I still have a long way to go i think). i know that you didn't say you have back pain, but the back can often be the root of many problems in your body, so it may not hurt to go for a consult and see what they have to say. i have heard of some people having a lot of success with acupuncture. i think i will try that in a few monthes if the current route isn't totally successful.
