okay Fh& I along with my mother are planning to go see The Club at Bond Head tomorrow (Sunday) at 11AM to see what it looks like and everything. Well I have been dealing with their F&B manager for the past 2 weeks (well really only 1 week, ill explain later on). So today i received an email stating that it is now 12PM and she thought I was coming at 11AM and blah blah blah.... And on Thursday i confirmed with her the actual date and she said okay. I do not understand how she could get things mixed up... there is NO reason for it... im going to sound like a bridezilla but when someone (us) is going to be spending thousands of dollars at your venue the simpliest things you can do is remember when your appointments are!!!! Am i not right?

so ill go into more detail.... i emailed her a couple of times previous.. asking her for more information and to set up a date to tour the grounds. Well i didnt hear back from her the one week so i let it slide to the next week... still didn't hear back from her. So i emailed her again with a very unflattering way. And OH 5 minutes later i get a reply. And she had all these excuses which i can understand, she said that they were having technical difficulties which i can deal with no problem. I also wrote to her boss teh office manager to complain. And yes again i got a quick reply... woohoo stating that they were very sorry and so forth. So i decided to set up a tour date... no problem, she listed her available times this weekend and i replied with the date and time that we will be there. no response! so i waited till the next day, still no response, so i emailed her again so i know that she knows when we are coming... she emailed back saying yes i am aware of the day you are coming.... AND on top of all that she gets the wrong date!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrr this is why i wanted a DW!!!!

i just do not want to deal with them if they are going to be like this... i want someone bending over backwards for us since we are going to be spending so much $$$ there... plus it our wedding!!!

maybe im just uptight...

I don't blame you one bit. Did you email them or call and talk to them about the mix up?  I would have probably said.. enough in enough!  The issue is that alot of place know that wedding business is a billion dollar business and if you don't book with them someone else will.  Which often leads them to forget that we are the ones that pay for them to maintain there business and should be treated like our business is wanted.  If you really want this place then go for the meeting tomorrow.. but if you do decide to book it then lay it out to them that you want to be treated with respect and that your function matters more then just for the money.  I wish you all the best!!  Good luck tomorrow and I hope you get what you want.

And you don't sound like a bridezilla by the way!!

tough one... why not pick up the phone and actually speak to her? I found it to be a better way to get a response quickly and then you can also judge by the voice if the person is pleasant to deal with.  I think BTB and event coordinators are on different schedules, they don't understand our "need" to get the information yesterday

If you really like the Club, go for your appointment tomorrow and see if you still like it after the meeting

yes so we went to visit on Sunday and everything is fine. I didn't know that they are new and everything is still working out. So i am assuming that she was telling the truth about that they are having internet problems. She actually is very nice in person and very welcoming. So i think i was just PMSing or something...

if you are thinking about this site, do not have my previous opinion on they're F&B manager make you re-think... you HAVE to see the place...
